đ¨ Introducing the talented Eileen Park, our local artist feature for the month of December! Eileen, who has studio space at The Phaeton Gallery downtown, mixes her art with technology using AI to make her paintings come alive! A former broadcast designer with NBC sports in New York and creating TV graphics that aired for seconds and disappeared into "TV land", she craved creating art that could be held, hung on the wall, and observed. Eileen began experimenting with oil paints as her medium, but her interest in technology has remained strong, eventually showing up again in her artwork. Eileen uses an app that allows viewers to point their camera at her paintings to see her works come alive and start animating.

is the neurological phenomenon in which a sensory perception unintentionally also evokes one or more other sensory impressions. Although it is not uncommon for sensory perceptions to have mutual influence, in synesthesia this is so strong that, for example, colors are tasted or sounds are seen. There is also the so-called mirror touch synesthesia, in which the same physical pain is experienced when one sees someone else in physical pain. This property of the brain occurs in relatively few people. These perceive several types of impulses at the same time, even if they are in fact generally generated by other senses.

A special mention to my Art Teacher when I was a young lad in Barranquilla, Colombia during the La Cueva years.
Fernando Botero, a Colombian artist whose paintings peopled with full-figured members of the elite achieved international fame, opening doors for many Latin Americans after him, died in September at 91. Boteroâs paintings of Colombian governmental officials and clergy are now known the world over.

We have received diverse and impressive submissions for the 6th edition of the London Art Biennale 2023. The selection was truly difficult but we have narrowed it down to approximately 400 artists for this yearâs exhibition. The process was very tight and exceptionally close so no artist should be discouraged if we were not able to include their work in this yearâs show.
We received a lot of very good work and have done our best to showcase a selection that presents an excellent as well as artistically diverse exhibition for the public.
Blood Chapel Earns Best In Show Distinction

The latest issue of Inscape, Brigham Young Unversity's journal, features 'Blood Chapel' on it's latest cover. It also won the Best In Show distinction in the Visual Arts category. This photo was simply a byproduct of taking a photo which I wasn't particularly thrilled with and experimenting with it in Lightroom. I have found that sometimes the content of a photograph is worth saving even if the execution is poor. I didn't like initial image and instead of deleting it I decided to manipulate the image. I found something that struck a nerve within myself. This piece all of a sudden became representative of all the blood that has been shed due to Christianity and other religions as well. Its a photo of a little roadside chapel in Belgium, that I believe is for the farmers to pray for successful seasons. I still am not sure, but they fascinate me and are sprinkled all about the country side villages of Wallonia. I am just glad this piece which experimentation and faith in my instincts...
