Becoming New
This morning I have decided that I do not know if I like cold damp weather. So, I will go out, and in a sense become NEW, ignoring the concept ingrained in my head, since childhood, that cold damp weather is uncomfortable. What will I find? Will this newness add adventure to my day, stimulate my imagination, add energy to my gait or even add sparkles of excitement to my eyes? Is this similar to what is often referred to as the innocence of a child or will it prove to be an imaginative period of freedom in which I can retake control and redefine who I am?

continued… It is good to let the brain digests it, and let our subconsciousness to, eventually be sensitive and feed our work later. I remember going out with my camera, like taking for a walk a dog LOL. The camera was the pretext and once back home, it was always a sense of new energy. Hi Cecil, Indeed, going out whatever the weather is always challenging. And intrinsically it is always an experience. Especially for photographers. Immediate impression, feelings and a tool at hand to try to memorize the moment. Painters are also implicated in this process, when we go out to paint " sur le vif". Saying that, it is, as well, very important to go out without any plan to record the experience...see post part II Alexandra
