Bread Crumbs Navigation Links Stop Working Is This A New Feature?

About a week ago I notice that while login that the bread crumbs no longer work. They work when your logged out. It has been a pain to constantly go in and out to edit photos in my collections or when I am in a group. I put in a ticket a week ago and have heard nothing back! Is anyone else having this issue?

TBH, the site's breadcrumbs (navigation links) always seemed a bit flaky (pastry) to me.

The extended (dropdown) back button is my friend

This is a programing term for the links above your images like wall art > photographs > sports > football > nfl football teams > dallas cowboys
It is the links above your images which stopped working for us a week ago it will not take you anywhere. The links above our image no longer work so is it only affecting us, or others having this issue. We pointed out the fix for it, but have heard nothing back so were not sure if this is a feature that has been removed for all or just us?

Richard they worked up until about a week ago for us, now they dont.

As I said, my experience is they were always a bit odd in their categorizations (at least with my images). I never relied on them, but it is, as you say, annoying if someone was using then and now they don't work for you.

As an example, my image of the building "Las Setas de Sevilla - Study 7" is categorized as "wall art>food and beverages>vegetable>mushrooms" which is wrong on many levels (mushrooms are not vegetables, nor is this building a food or beverage!)

ah! Ok I get it now. I can see them when I am logged in and off

I guess I may have to start using my back button history as you said, but that is another pain in the butt when I am trying to edit several images, and I want to go back to the same collection I was just in. It will be helpful if technical staff would just tell us it is a permanent change or a glitch that will be fixed!

When I log in to FAA or pixels.com the links don't work! As long as I am not login they work!

I have a photo of the palmetto trees along Charleston, South Carolina's beautiful riverfront area known as the "Battery".
The picture is categorized as Wall Art > Photographs > Still Life > Batteries

I have written tech support and hopefully will hear back soon.

Even in one of my groups I use, the bread crumbs to go back to the group seems to no longer work! I guess if no one else is having this issue we will see if tech will fix it or if its just our new world here.

Shelia I think there is another group talking about this issue in the discussion, where people are talking about the logic or illogical aspect of the bread crumbs for searches. It appears to be a common issue.

I am guessing that when they did their QA testing for this new feature they did it for potential customers not for the artist log in. Just a guess of course!

For more then a month I have been editing keywords on a large number of my images to get them properly categorized to what you are referring to as the bead crumbs. The only part of the bread crumbs that works that way for me is the first one that would have my name and category, It will take me back to the collection or group. If I click on any of the other bread crumbs, I wind up on the site search.

If that is what you are referring to it works for me. I tried it in a group in the images and it worked there as well.

Thanks, Tod and Cynthia... And Gary, thanks for your kind words... That's a wonderful point about the extra views, which are always welcome. For the record, I changed my keywords, deleting "battery" and put in "Charleston battery"... This works. :)

No Dale our links don't work at all when we are logged in to FAA or to our pixels.com, and does not work for the first link or any link for that matter. When we are logged out they work. Also, in one groups we use I cannot return to the group main page because the bread crumb link does not work there anymore either. I have to go out and then back in? This all worked fine a little over a week ago.

Yea for a while now Shelia we stopped putting in single key words for most of our searches, but we have over 4000 images so may have missed some.

It seems like there are a lot of posts lately from individuals having isolated problems/glitches with the site. I wonder if there is a correlation between the computer system's operating systems, software, security, browsers, plug-ins, updates, etc and site cookies. Issues with essential cookies can cause certain features not to work. I often see the first responses suggest to clear the cache. Recently, that sometimes works and sometimes does not.

Here is an excerpt from FAA's Cookie Policy:
A. Essential Cookies - Essential Cookies are necessary for the Websites to function and cannot be disabled. These cookies are essential for enabling user movement around the Websites and providing access to features of the Websites. These cookies do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing purposes, do not remember where you have been on the internet, and do not store any personally identifiable information. If you set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, some parts of the Websites will not work.

Dale, cookies have nothing to do with bread crumbs they are part of the programing code for the web site. We have tested this on four different browsers, two different OS systems, with cookies and without cookies, etc! Using some debugging tools we are looking at the code for the bread crumbs and we are comparing the login vs not login codes for the bread crumbs to see if we can narrow down the issue so maybe we can direct the programmer to where it may be broken and point in that direction. Since we cannot test it may be fruitless venture. My past experience on bug fixes here don't give me much hope especially if we are the only ones affected!

The breadcrumb links work fine for me logged in or not I never liked them on FAA since they go to other peoples images.

My breadcrumbs were eaten by ants.

Thank you Jessica, that's what I wanted to know if we are the only ones here having the issue or if it others too. I mostly use the first link to get back to my collections and for when I am editing images in my collections.
