If you delete a collection folder it doesn’t delete your images that you placed inside

...but if you get right back to work after wine 🍷wine and lunch and then ZAP a folder of originals on your PC, well, you just made things harder than they needed to be on a Monday. 🤪😞

If you did not empty your Recycle Bin you should be able to restore that folder

As david said, it will be in the recycle bin... And in your backups? Something you'll do after this.

Collections can't be stacked here, it would be real confusing to customers.

I emptied the trash to speed up the Photoshop scratch disk, its on an SSD so not even worth trying a recover. I still have unaltered originals...but kicking myself because I will lose the time spend dodging and burning, painting etc.

Mike, I don't follow you on your folders comment-- I think a hierarchy of galleries is *easier* than endless collections that are similar. For instance, I've got hundreds of scenes that are minimalist, meditative. Some are farms, some lakes, deserts, beaches....but all of the same *category*, so if a viewer isn't interested in that *type* of he scene, they can scroll on to another gallery of a different theme. Does that make sense?

I do know the site doesn't want collections in collections. Once a buyer gets into one, its real easy to get lost as they back out. It also creates even more collections of 4 of each item which is annoying to back out. Its cleaner to have it under:

tree
pine
oak etc

but it won't be set up like that.

I'm guessing its because you want one for photos and others for AI etc? In any case its been wanted for a long time, the site won't put it in. Best to sort by theme, all landscape, architecture etc.

I make it a habit of backing up every night.

Mike is right about the backup. In the 90s I worked for an ad agency where the IT guy repeated at least a dozen times every day "If you don't have at least 2 backups, you don't have a backup." He meant that a backup could be corrupt, so one copy might not be enough to save your hide. I'm only talking about my silly projects, but he had was in charge of the media files for an agency that did posters for big budget Hollywood movies, so he needed to be darn sure that he was backed up!

I am on a POD, they were there for years... Then suddenly all of our work was gone - because they didn't keep any backups of anything there. Everything had to be sent again.

As for me, I think I have 4 backups. 2 on spare drives, 1 as a thumb drive I carry, 1 as a mechanical that stays off, and a 5th extra, a just in case of a just in case of a just in case moment, that I update monthly.
