Faa Courtesies And Thanks

Questions.
What is the appropriate response to someone selecting your artwork to "favorite" or "feature"?

Is "following" an artist the same as selecting them for "watchlist"?

Is the only way to feature another artist's work by creating a Group and featuring the artist in the group?

Many thanks to artists taking the time to give me positive feedback by way of favorites, features, following, and watch lists. There are so many talented artists on FAA. I would like to pay it forward in return.

You ignore it. You can thank them. But mostly of the time its just something people do. Its like getting a like on facebook.

Following means watchlist so they can see your latest post, comment etc. Buyers use it to keep track of artists.

Features are on groups. You don't have to create your own group if the only thing you want to do is feature people. Its a lot of work to own a group, like owning a pet.

Fav's etc help a little bit in the search but mostly its a time waste, you can do the same for them but you would be better off advertising their work, or your own.

Hi William, and welcome aboard.

Following would be the same as the watch list. You can follow them if you wish or reciprocate in kind by "Liking" or commenting on one of their images if you wish.

The Features are from the group leaders. I thank them for the feature under the comment they often leave for you telling you that this image is featured. Some groups have a thread where you can leave a message to thank you group holder. Many group leaders state that it is unnecessary to leave comments under the group's comments section as it just too redundant.

I don't think there is a mandatory policy on that. The courtesies you adopt represent you. As I have noticed people have different attitudes.
