Trying To Describe What My Work Actually Is....

I think the best way to describe it is that I am "Digital Photo Artist". Since it always BEGINS with a Photo, but always ENDS with the digital paintbrush... I think this defines me MORE.. then just saying I am a photographer.

I just call myself a wildlife artist. I suppose I should start being a little more descriptive. Something like painter of birds! :)

Multi-talented, lol.,emotive...........which doesn't guarantee 'highly successful'.
I am a Jacquie of All Trades, art forms, so, I don't generalize.
The works here are defined by Search terms really......
My descriptions define my intent, the 'style',the category.
To others?........Artist, Photographer.

isnt that mixed media then? two different types of art. I keep it simple for myself..I am an artist that does landscape photography. I Manipulate my images as I see fit. ts never straight out of the camera.

If it looks like a painting, than I refer to it as digital art.

Jon, actually digital art refers to art that is created on a computer, not coming from a camera.

As for me I refer to myself as a photographer. Then people assume I'm a wedding or people photographer. Then comes the long explanation! LOL!

Lol Jessica! Yeah it isn't so simple to describe like it used to be a long time ago.

I borrowed a phrase from a personality test or two that said, "You are a true aesthetic. You love beautiful things." As a photographer, I am also an eagle-eyed perfectionist with a background in dental hygiene, graphic design, and professional writing. So I tied those in with photography to help set myself apart from others. I think our personality traits and backgrounds tend to show up in our work. Since rewriting my bio, I can't say that sales have skyrocketed, but I feel better about giving it more thought. I just took two checks to the bank and made two more sales today, and that's been a nice perk.
