Old George Washington Bridge Painting

What painting??

i can't see it through the screen. it could be something, it might not. weird that it was under something. maybe it was a nice frame but they couldn't get the old image out.

in any case, we aren't appraisers, and it would be best to bring it to one of them.

That's not the GW bridge Mike and as you know it is what they call the Manhattan bridge. The GW is over the Hudson River not the East River.

is it? i just typed that into google.. well anyway, bridges all look the same to me.

It says george Washington bridge . On wood and is by artist Newhouse i tried to upload the image but says its the wrong format so.. anyway thanks guys if anyone ever heard of An artist named Newhouse, please let me know. I have had it for years now, its looks old

I will not say there is no value, you might have the original, but that is very unlikely. If you want to pursue it further see an appraiser.

Newhouse Turner did not produce prints for investment in the true sense of the word.

Do you have a picture of it?

Yeah, i tried uploading a pic but it said it was the wrong jpg or something , anyway like i said on a print you can not feel the build up of paint like this one. Unless when they made the print the ink was so thick it made a build up of ink. Anyway, Its i love it rather its a print or the original. I kind of hope its just a print since it was covered in canvass and another painting was over it.
