What Is The Best Site To Advertise?

Hello!
I wonder where should I invest more in promoting my work, in twitter/facebook/anywhere else?
Would like to here a lot of opinions!

And on this opportunity Ill also use the stage to mention that I would be very glad if you take a look in my gallery and tell me if there is something you liked :)

For me Facebook, instagram and LinkedIn are best for me but I also tend to not give a you know what. It can take me a long time to respond to others.

Time - When people are likely to check their stuff - morning, lunch, when they get home.

Where - where every you feel like spending the time and effort. It take a long time to establish a presence.

I spend most of my time blogging which populates all my social media.

the answer is yes.... all of them, all of the time.

you sure have a lot of pictures of marbles. can't say i liked it, i would try a few and see how well they sell, the gimic gets old kind of fast.you need descriptions and more keywords. advertising starts from there. you have to be careful of noise in your night shots

Art Prints
this probably won't print.

be sure to start people in galleries. and descriptions are very important. leaving it blank, or being cryptic, won't help you in google.

I am not a big believer in trying to be everywhere.

Advertising is a lot about building top of the mind awareness, name recognition or branding as they like to call it today.

You do that be repetitive advertising over and over again with multiple impressions to the same market.

I suggest that you pick no more than two outlets and concentrate on learning how to use them effectively and then make as big an impression as you can. Once you feel you have established that then start looking for new venues to advertise in..

For me, it was and still is Facebook and Twitter. If I was to suggest a third vehicle it would direct mail. But most people do not have a large enough mailing list to really be effective. I strongly recommend that everyone builds a good mailing list but considering FAA is not going to share that information it is not all that easy to do here at FAA. But there are other methods that can be used.

I talk about this in more detail on my blog where I discuss vertical and horizontal reach:

Understanding Advertising and Why You Simply Can Not Do It All

I'm going to change my answer. The best place to advertise is on your own site. You will advertise your offerings, your self, your activities, your personality, your motivations, your passions...you are going to advertise an interesting person doing interesting things that people want to follow.

"you are going to advertise an interesting person doing interesting things that people want to follow."

So that's my problem, I'm not interesting. lol

I personally like G+, Twitter and trying to blog more, I also have started sharing on Stumble Upon since coming here. I used to think Pinterest was a good place but after two years promoting my other PODS there and very little evidence of benefit I am getting over them. I don't like FB at all, no offense to anyone that does... I agree that where you enjoy spending time is the best place for you to promote because now days you have to build a community and network where ever you are trying to promote and share content as well as ads. It seems the days of just showing your work with a link are coming to an end...
