Need Help Identifying Artist

I've got a mixed media piece that's very interesting. It's a portrait of a woman (possibly saint mary). It's 8/20 from 1981, but I can't read the signature. It appears to be Petre or Petri, maybe even Peter, but the last name is hard to read. It looks like it starts with Nick, but I can't make out the rest. It's a very interesting piece and quite beautiful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The image is tiny and sideways....hard to see. Plus authenticators and appraisers need to see the object in person, and we are not appraisers here. Best to contact a local appraiser and bring it in. Ask if and what they charge first though.

as said, we aren't appraisers, just humble folk selling art. you would have to bring it to a pro. they can tell if its a copy, original etc. as it stands, this is too small, sideways, and its really impossible to tell.
