Daay 1: Love to sea you soon
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/love-to-sea-you-soon-lucia-waterson.html
We all love someone. But do we say it? Well, we should.
In this watercolor painting called Love to sea you soon, someone wrote the word Love on a sandy beach, close to the ocean. How romantic!
Someone will be waiting for his love to come back again, the romance will continue...

This is SO fun!
Just the thing to chase away those winter blues!!
I’ve no plans this challenge. I usually have some clue as to what I am going to do. Not this time, lol. Just taking each day as it comes. Yesterday was oil pastel. Today Procreate. Tomorrow… who knows!!!!
All I know is I am dreaming of being on a tropical island right now. Great images everyone!

Thanks + + + Donna for coordinating these Challenges!
Enjoying everyone's art — fun topic, immersing myself in Day 2 musings...
CU all later :)

can't go wrong at the beach, even in California it gets cold in winter, not super freezing cold but at my house it is crazy windy, so driving to the beach it got warmer and was quite pleasant and not so cold after all....

Day 2: BY SEA MAIL
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/by-sea-mail-lucia-waterson.html?newartwork=true
The messages in bottles tell about life, maybe about love, but they are often dramatic goodbyes, like those written by people at the Titanic and found after about 100 years.
This painting, mainly watercolor, is called By sea mail.
You can see straight away that the message is quite unusual, it's words on one side and a pastel floral painting on the other side.
The artist felt nobody was appreciating her work and one day she sealed it in this bottle, it will now float wherever the tide takes it and who knows who will find it and when.
By the way, the artist first uploaded it here on Fineartamerica, because you never know, it might sell :)

My apologies if I wasn’t specific enough on the theme. (I’m in training!). But please be sure there’s a BEACH somewhere in your actual image.
Carry on!
This has been one of my favorite Challenges! The beach brings back so many happy memories for me of my mother taking me and my sisters to Galveston island. We slathered ourselves with coconut scented suntan lotion, built sand castles and gathered sand dollars. We waded out into the murky water as far as mother would allow (she was always worried about the undertow) and always we were on guard for the dreaded jelly fish and man o war that were either lurking in the shallow water or were washed ashore and hiding under seaweed. We’d spend all day there, come home late in the evening sunburnt, and slather refreshingly cool Noxzema on our red backs and faces. Oh the FUN!
Oops - I may have to do another image - or you can take my word for it for todays (Day 3) there is a sliver of the beach below the front wave in the bottom left corner of the image. If that is not acceptable, please let me know and I will make another one for today.
Edit: Yes, the baby oil was slathered on as we went to the beach in SoCal growing up (I would never do that now!). :)
Gaby, no worries. :)
Ha! As teens we sometimes used baby oil. Sheesh. It’s like we were wanting to literally FRY in the sun! Lol. Nowadays I avoid the sun.

I wanted to contribute to how much I am enjoying this theme, everyone's art and making beach art myself... being from Colorado and now living in Oklahoma beaches are not part of my experience but I am enjoying my imaginary beach trips through creating artwork. :)
ah shucks... my memories of the beach are so often beachcombing... shells, digging artifacts, etc... that was my plan...
okay I go find some ocean waves that i usually dismiss sharing...
GJ, when I was a kid I always wished I had a metal detector so I could discover buried treasures on the beach!
My image today rather sucks. I did half of it with my dog Tootsie in my lap. Not a good plan. But I tried! And that's what matters most (right??)
Shelli, I grew up a short distance from Galveston Island and loved the beach. It wasn't until I was 20 and had married and took a Carribean cruise that I discovered SOME beaches had crystal clear water, as opposed to the gray murky waters in Galveston. In Galveston you can be ankle deep and not even see your feet! But I didn't know any different, so I was happy. Now I'm spoiled at having visited numerous islands with crystal clear water and I do not think I would be happy with the murky waters of Galveston island. :-)

I grew up in Southern California and went to the beach often with friends when I got my driver's license at age 16. When I got married, we moved to Texas but almost every year we went back to CA to visit family and the beach. I always picked up a few rocks and shells to put in my big glass vase in our living room. So many memories!

Day 3
https://fineartamerica.com/featured/the-mediterranean-rose-color-beach-lucia-waterson.html?newartwork=true
The Mediterranean rose color beach
Who said that old is ugly? Look at this breathtaking beach: it's made up of thousands of broken pink shells, they are so old that actually they are fossils that date back even 500 million years!
The result is a rare, unique pink beach. If you think it's all in my fantasy, then you are wrong, it truly exists and it's all natural.
This magic pink stardust can be found in Greece, near Crete, it's the Elafonissi beach, which offers you an authentic fairy-like experience!
I'm sorry Shelli, I got mixed up with your day 2, that's why I didn't notice it! But it's true what you say, all the entries are inspiring!
Lucia, You pink Mediterranean sand plus the whelk shell is just magnificent... shared more on your page... I hope to travel from Gibraltar along the coast over to Italy, wind around to Greece on over to Turkey some day... There's a Santa Claus cruise every couple years, maybe I'll land a licensing and splurge, dreamy... Thanks for sharing your pink sand (a kin to mineral rich pink Himalayan salt)... GJ
Donna, Okay... I went CAC cruisin through beach w/ ocean photos... I have so many that I dismiss, never seem to post... Thinking there's so many beach, ocean... no one wants to see my captures... well it took hours & hours, had so much fun looking back... new muse, seeing new things... Well I stuck w/ my Beach CAC plan transforming into Teapot Salty Sea Tasting... Tho the original photo as well as 3 teapots & another version of Native Sunrise wide pano processed & uploaded today in my Images & Creativity that flows gallery.
Shelli... That happened to me too... and this is the 1st time I've been back in a challenge... I love the CAC & being in each other's daily virtual studios whether in/out of the challenge... I get messed up w the times, not managerial... It's really hard to work in the middle of the day. It somehow throws me off when the clock doesn't begin at my happy hour 12:01 AM. See you in another challenge!!! Thx for your clicks & views!
ps Sorry to CACers that share via Pixels... I have so many tabs open that I monitor & admin here in FAA, I just never seem to get over to pixels to log in so it doesn't let me click or comment... Tho I'm enjoying everyone's beach images this week. Uplifting! GJ glorijean

WOW what a crazy day... JOLTING BANG against my house...
Discovering a 20ft garage was flying through the air landing in my yard,
taking down my cable... Calling the police to come to help...
Knocking down wires across the street, then continued blowing across
three properties, knocking over Joseph at my Nativity...
Thankfully calling the police able to clear away w/ road dept & wire safety.
Even the officer couldn't get thru to the cable company about the outage.
I figured I'd be without internet til next week...
The structure was from a tree company & the owner actually came by to see
what was going on that I called to alert his crew... I said thankfully contained w/
on minor damage but will be unable to work for a few days due to this Arctic Blast
& high winds expected to get worst in the NE USA overnight... The owner said oh
I can climb my ladder and restore the cable line.. Really!!! OMG!!!
So I am working sort of primitively repurposing my beach scene from yesterday...
Ruby slippers, whirling wind, news streaming some mysterious surveillance balloon
the size of 2 school buses over Montana... No I'm not in Montana or Kansas but the
garage canopy whirled through the air like Oz...
So I offer up lantern w/ rabbit, peace dove, asian woman w/ protective parasol
bring prayers, healing, gesture of solidarity set on Red4 background for love.
Thankful for many, many gifts from this 5D Off to the Beach Challenge.
Light a LANTERN for PEACE!!!
Prayers for Common Good for our planet, GJ glorijean

Thank you for hosting this fun challenge, Donna! Abbie, thank you for these challenges! I have enjoyed everyone's uplifting, beautiful creativity, and the beach has been a very happy place to be in especially today with our temps this evening of 30-40 below zero Fahrenheit!!
Wow, GJ, that sounds scary! Glad you are safe.
An incredible challenge. Many thanks to Donna and Abbie.
So, what do we do next? ;-)
Thx for Gaby & Matthias, Yes it was scary as the loud noise also rocked the house...
Now my independent Aunt (turning 99 next wk) is enduring the ME Arctic Freeze; of course w/o any complaint!
I think a next CAC Challenge could be ART around the mysterious balloon floating...
How do we artist take courage every day in our art to embrace, resonate & make a different in our world.
Tho I also think this mindful beach escape could be a regular practice, challenge...
Thank YOU, I received MANY GIFTS having taken this challenge. Turning pt was the need to add ocean.
While it was grueling to go back & plan my work for the week, blessings came overpouring...
Now I am so busy w/ my creativity... working almost nonstop I can't seem to get enough time to keep up w the flow...
Thank YOU for this VIP CAC fellowship & the beach vibes despite the Arctic Cold (5 degrees overnight) here.
Grateful Joy! GJ

Loving red starfish
Nobody loves you like your mum. She always keeps an eye on you. The search for new adventures is always so tempting for the baby ones, they are not scared of anything because they know that if they loose an arm they can reproduce a new one just like that.
They don't yet understand that outside the water they can suffocate. And what about if they meet a human who wants to touch them or take them home to display on their shelves?
So their mum has to monitor them all the time, at least she can count on more than 2 eyes, one at the tip of each arm. Not that they can see that much, just enough for what they need: to take the baby back home safely.
