Viola, is a beautiful friendly white cat that belongs to my neighbor. She loves to visit my flower garden to watch birds flying around the yard.

This abstract work is an improvisation using encaustic paints and copper wool. Layers of hot pigmented wax were placed on a wood board with textures created using a variety of tools. I embedded some copper wool -- and two tiny metallic hearts are on the copper.

2021 is a year to calibrate, not celebrate, IMHO...

A cute little bunny is sitting in the green grass and is looking curiously over the meadow.

One wish on the Christmas wish list of my daughter was one, better two little rabbits as pets. Because Santa wasn't able to fullfil this wish, I had to paint this acrylic portrait of a cute bunny for her nursery.

Check out this new painting that I uploaded to FineArtAmericadotcom: Mermaids Tale. It is available for purchase. This artwork was inspired by an old paint palette. I really liked the spontaneity of color and the more I looked at it I saw the mermaid. It's comparable to gazing at cloud formations and seeing shapes taking the form of a rabbit or hawk. I am into upcycling and wanted to keep this old styrofoam veggie tray out of the landfill. So I gave it a new life bringing about a colorful whimsical artwork. #Mermaid #fantasy

Having worked with traditional art glass for 20 + years, I enjoy digitally replicating the appearance of various styles.

In contemporary practice, Dalle de verre is created with faceted glass set in a resin matrix.
Concrete used originally proved to be too rigid and would tend to crack the glass.

Colorful Tropical Fish



The majestic angelfish is wonderfully showy with bold colors of blue, yellow & fuchsia with white bands & black patterns.

It is so exciting to see the amazingly colorful tropical sea life while snorkeling & diving. I love being in the ocean, swimming along coral reefs & watching all the marine activities!

I was inspired to paint this vividly colorful animal on a rare snowy day in central Texas. The white snow outside seemed to enhance my colorful impressionism style inside.

Sunrise In Finger Tree Forest...

The morning sun casts brilliant patterns of colorful light across the sky above the rolling hills of Finger Tree Forest. Handy trees wave a sweet hello above a cutaway bank that reveals a myriad of interesting rock formations held in place by a pile of large boulders near a big pink flower surrounded by multicolor pansies. In the foreground, a stone footpath follows a narrow meadow of green grass and pale blue daisies beside a cool rippling stream, so perfect to dip two toes in.

January 2021 - Memories return to us in fragments, in glimpses, and in no way do they surface in their entirety. The whole event or situation is elusive. They're right there, yet they're not, you can almost see them, but you can't. My painting portrays two dolphins, they both dived to the ocean bed.
The danger is they are eating a facemask, thinking it looks like food.
I strongly need to share this about our oceans, seas our nature, they are polluted by facemasks ever since the "Covid19" pandemic started year2020 continuing in to 2021.
If you look along the sandy bed there's glassbottle and tin can which is so hazardous for nature and other sea mammals.
The dolphins easly swallow the debries causing injury and even death.
Please put your litter in a bin or take it home with you.
Please help our environment every bit helps!!

I am in the middle (or perhaps even the beginning) of my firebird series. Firebirds and the state of the country in the throes of a serious pandemic somehow seem to go together. Firebirds are healing birds (they represent rising from the ashes and wisdom).
This one has a white background and painted to somewhat resemble French folk art. Hmmmm, the image is clipped at the top, but I can assure you that the print is of the whole image. You'll need to click on the image to see the whole thing ...

I first created the premise of the Everywhere Map as an original fused art glass design for my 2011 solo art exhibition,
Carte Blanche, at the Abenaki Museum, Odanak, Quebec, Canada.

A whimsical scene through the trees at Hyde Park in London, one catches a magical glimpse of a couple of ducks peacefully floating by. A fleeting moment in time in an ever-changing world. The trees which frame the scene seem to be standing still yet are growing and changing as well through the passage of time.

We are like the trees, standing by and barely noticing a change in ourselves as the people and circumstances, both good and bad, in our lives seem to be passing before us, as a quick and every changing view taken by the flow, like ducks on the water.

Only in hindsight can we look back on the flow of life events and see the blessings and how we have grown mentally, spiritually, and yes physically through these time passages.
It’s a beautiful life.

Lately I have been delving into more digital art expressions to further my artistic bents in the artsy arena. I am taking an illustrative approach to my images with special effects and then making a transparency for use on different products. This is a pretty golden dragonfly that I worked on.

My Tabletop Cat on a green background. My cat loves lying under the colorful George Nelson ball clock. His favorite color is orange, so of course his favorite of the balls are the orange ones. He loves how they perfectly match the flower pot. This is his favorite spot to rest during his busy day.

What a view. But like any view, it can't be enjoyed unless one takes time to enjoy it. Here, at the top of a hill in Port Townsend, WA, one enjoys the flowers of the red Victorian home and the view of Puget Sound below. Just like the sailboat, we're in no hurry to get anywhere, perhaps because we're already where we need to be.

Three generations stand before a landscape, in a time of transition and change. The grandmother remembers a life that looked little different from that of her own grandmother. The mother lives a life of uncertainty, a time in which all that she thought was normal is being destroyed. And the baby?

It is a moment of joy and beauty, just after a rain in the Grand Canyon. A young woman dances barefoot, with graceful ease.

She stands, relaxed and at ease, looking out into a distant vista.

Love is most beautiful when it lasts.

Lone Cypress Sunset Glow

I have been trying to stick with shapes, avoiding impressions, it is such a therapeutic but difficult task. I have been able to expand the creative options, by limiting the style and mediums. Emerald Sunfish…

Beckoning eyes surround the spiraling interior of this fish-tailing mandala, embellished with colorful blends and encircling blue waves above rays of viridian bliss. Orange glowing suns brighten the corners inside an indecipherable set of glyphs wrapping around the perimeter.

Painted Bunting in Spring


Watercolor painting of a boldly colorful male painted bunting. What a joy to see when they arrive at my Texas bird feeder mid March!

The adult male sports a blue head, red belly & rump, yellow green top & a rainbow mix of colors in the wings & tail feathers.

The female is beautiful with all green plumage. Soon after hatching, all fledglings have gray green color similar to the adult female.

An amazingly beautiful songbird!

This painting was inspired by a mid January contest for flowers and a mirror and my moth orchid deciding to fully bloom. Such fun!

The inspiration for this colour pencil painting was my husband and Pomeranian’s constitutional walk in the rain earlier this month ...and bringing me back a clump of dew dropped three leaf clovers. They were SO proud of their BLING find...and I HAD to paint it.:-)

Another version of Kron, a Harlequin Great Dane rescue dog...this work has Kron with two blue eyes when in reality he had one blue eye and one brown eye.

Dominica in the Caribbean was a great stop on a cruise i done a few years back, the memory of the day still sits fresh in the mind, we did the Indian River which i’ve included in some recent Travel Art uploads , but memory trigger is seeing the caribbean palm trees. Here is one from my new uploads that is all about the caribbean palm tree.

Indian Blanket Flower



Watercolor painting of a single bloom. Frequent along roadsides in the Southwest, Indian Blanket wildflowers earn their nickname Firewheel. Colorful red orange petals with fringed tips of yellow.

Thanks to Lady Bird Johnson & her many beautification programs, the roadsides of Texas in Spring are filled with wildflowers.

Texas is mostly associated with Bluebonnets but my favorite is the Indian Blanket!

A beautiful showy Spring flower.

This acrylic painting features my signature black cat. He loves visiting distant planets in the galaxy, and today he discovered this beautiful purple planet. Even its moon is purple! And the sky is a beautiful warm orange. He wishes planet Earth were these same colors because they are his favorites. He's pondering those tall space pods in the distance and wondering if it's safe to venture closer. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained!

It is still Jamurary where I live. This is a watercolor painting of an animal I can remember seeing when traveling. I just thought they were so cute.
