Soft Beachy Feel abstract acrylic painting. My large entry needed a new painting, something calm to not distract from an ornate carved table below it. I love the ocean, the beach and painted this abstract scene to bring that feel into the room. So relaxing and dreamy to look at :)

This is called "The Holdout". Someone who refuses to conform despite what's around them. The lesson here is always be yourself. This is a 3D rendering, modeled and rendered in Vue, textures and final paintwork done in Photoshop. This image took me about 3 weeks to complete. It's not a new idea, there are houses like this in the world an in other artwork, but I wanted to do a version in my own style!

What a lovely scene, luxury mega yacht sailing through Sir Francis Drake Channel in the British Virgin Islands.

The fabric of space conveniently folds into regular clock-time intervals, with meandering swirls showing faintly through the orderly hours, and thankfully surrounded by a few glowing ribbons of imagination to remind us to save a bit of time for playful expression and free-spirited improvisation.

Digital art, abstract fractal. This image tells me about two things which are rather close to each other but other different the same moment. I mean I see here mirror in an abandoned house. Spiders enveloped this mirror with their webs. But on the other hand, I see here another kind of web. I see here the Internet which is also a mirror for our world.

The Circle is a Nvidia Iray 3D render with twelve elephants walking in a circle. Lots to think about here, exampled by what's in the image and what is not. Contemplate the circle, the direction, each elephant, what each one is doing, where they are going, where they have been, where they are, why are they in such a perfect circular formation, what are they accomplishing, what are they thinking, what is their goal, how long have they been doing this, how long will they continue, what will stop them, what will keep them going, what message are they sending, could they be considered a unit, yet is each one an individual, are they related, how are they related, how do they differ, how simple is the image, how complex, is there symbolism, what about concepts, do you see patterns, what kind of patterns, could this be related to life, how could it be related to life, perhaps a situation, perhaps a lifetime, how does this apply to your life, how does this apply to the life that you observe, what would you do to change it, how would you do it, what effects would the change have, what structuring do you see, what does the structure mean, is it an acceptable structure, is this something you would apply to your life, what strengths do you see, what are some of the weaknesses, what about positive effects, how about negative effects, what are some consistencies, what are some inconsistencies?

My new collection of charming ladies was the beginning of Oh So Girly Gallery. The first piece I've created there was sure enough: Lady In Red
Cheers!

My Global Warning Piece (yes, I spelled it that way). The title is "Let it Floe" (yes, I spelled it that way on porpoise).
Ice floes are where polar bears hunt seals (but not Croft). This animal looks like a siamese polar bear, but there are no polar bears in Siam (and there is no Siam anymore, either). I'll just call it a thing. So the Thing is sitting on the ice with floes behind him (her?). Having a drink? Of course! Things go better with ... oh, you know.

"Hawk At Heckrodt" oil pastel on panel. As I consider the frame as part of the artwork because I make my own frames, this one is finally done, even though the drawing was done last year...it waited to be complete until today. The frame is Chechen, Canary Wood and Walnut. The hawk really did pose for me like that in the photo that I used as a reference...a fake hawk.

Derivative art. (Maybe I should start a thread for derivative art since it is neither photography nor "traditional" art but it is still sometimes both and more.
This started with a photo (the busker). It evolved using Photoshop, painting on a WACOM pen screen, blending, color adjustments, and much much more.

Minimalist watercolor landscape. It's also an experiment in several different watercolor techniques: coarse sea salt for texture, rolling a length of twine across pools of colored water for ditto, wadded-up tissue paper to absorb colored water to create soft-edged light areas, liquid mask applied with a sharpened stick to create the illusion of tall grass, scoring the paper with a needle to create the illusion of tree trunks in the forest in the background, and a lot of thirsty-brush work.
