Bugs? Glitches? Can't be! The BUGS THREAD was closed so I took that at being all the problems we've been experiencing since the inception of PIXELS were FIXED!

I've just experienced the same very frustrating and time consuming upload problems.

I wonder if anyone at FAA is even aware of the situation. It sure would be nice if they had some sort of NOTIFICATION system to first let us know that something is wrong and not to bother trying an upload. And then to Notify us that the problem has been fixed!

Well I was trying to upload a new painting to post in my thread "Self Taught Artist And Proud of It" but could not so I posted it to face book and then I was able to post it here but not by uploading.

Here is my initial post to the first of these threads...

I've been getting this message nearly every time I try to upload a new image...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 1048576000 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 536871005 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/fineartamerica.com/httpdocs/functions.php on line 46

I'm assuming it has something to do with my computer's memory although everything seemed to be working fine not long ago.

When I get the message, I've been opening another tab for FAA and clicking "Edit Image" and uploading the image again. Unfortunately, instead of just changing the image, I basically have to do everything again, (including checking all the groups I want to post it to). It may keep my tags, description, and title from the previous attempt however. Pretty frustrating, especially since I have over 200 group selections to go through each time. I also have to re-adjust each product icon image each time.

The upload is usually successful the 2nd attempt. Extremely time consuming for me. The next time I go to upload, I'm going to try and release a few applications such as Photoshop and it's Bridge to see if that helps with memory allocation. I never had problems with it before though.

(BTW, I'm using Firefox)

The first upload I did yesterday worked. The 2nd did not. The problem is intermittent but for me, the upload fails the majority of first time attempts.

Ok, we all know there's a problem. Now, when will it be fixed? It's Sunday, the only day I really have to upload paintings or photos. :(

I was able to upload early this morning (Eastern time, USA), but now, getting the same error everyone else is. Awesome. Any word on a fix?

I was just able to upload a new image but the error message still comes up when I tried to replace an existing image with an edited version...very odd.

JC, I was able to replace my edited image now so hopefully all the bugs have been exterminated.

Still not fixed! At least I only attempted two this time.

I also got the OOPS message while attempting to replace an image. I use Chrome, and everything should be updated. I shut down my computer last night, so it's all rebooted and fresh this morning.

I noticed the fonts are smaller now on Pixels. When I logged in this morning, I thought I was on FAA. Just an observation, nothing more,

I haven't been able to upload since April 14th. I have windows 7.
tried uploading to Firefox, Chrome, both the same-- timing out. I cleared cache, cleared cookies, (bought cookies, ate cookies), rebooted, scheduled the Comcast technician to see if my modem was malfunctioning. I have never has this problem. Curiously I was able to swap 2 images during this time, but not add any new work.

Ok, it is now working for me. I'll leave this open a little while longer - but hopefully it will stay fixed.

Nope, uploading not working for me, either, since last night. Windows 7, Firefox. I see it's working now for some, but not for me!! :(

I just uploaded a new image - the problem now - right after I hit submit - I wanted to look at the image using the higher resolution green box - said I would have to log in because I had been automatically logged out due to inactivity. Seriously - less than 15 seconds and I'm logged out and have to log back in?

Upload just worked for me!! :)

I am also having problems uploading. Either it just sits there uploading for minutes or if I get the image uploaded I time out filling out the form. Then if I get beyond that, My image is not complete and the bottom 3rd is gray.

What to heck is going on??

Please folks... do more than one upload before thinking it's fixed. The problem was intermittent. We'd like it to be consistent before assuming it's all ok.

I've also had the same error problem last night.

The other issue I am having is I'm uploading PNG files for shirts (to have a transparent background). The images do not display on shirts, I am receiving a broken missing graphic, as if the image is not uploading. If I switch back to the jpeg file, the photo shows up on the shirt. However, I need to use the png file due how I'm editing the photo for the shirts.

Same error message as last night just now when trying to upload a single image using Explorer...

that is exactly what has been happening to me since last Friday, the 14th.

I uploaded one and now it's giving that error message again.

Successfully uploaded 4 about an hour ago. Did them one by one.

I finally got an image to upload, features an old photo of Jackie Gleason, digitally enhanced, on Miami Beach, arms spread wide open, smoke in one hand enhanced, you can almost hear him saying, ' How sweet it is ! '

Hello everyone, I thought I would contribute to the discussion. Earlier this evening as I went to upload an image into the discussion which I opened all my image which I have stored with Picasa only three rows appeared. I almost panic someone had hacked my lap top as I was at the coffee shop. I shut the lap top off then unplug and removed the battery and held down the power button. Replaced the battery and cord and I still had this strange issue.

I then left the coffee shop to head home and signed on to Fine Art of America and everything appears ok at the present time. What alarmed me was I was unable to upload the image but could not access my personal images on my lap top. Whew, I am glad to have read this discussion and have knowledge it was a site problem and not a personal computer problem.

Same problem yesterday and today.

I see the problem still persists, at least for me.

I uploaded 10 images this morning, no problems.

I emailed myself an image, saved it to my ipad mini pro and was able to upload the file from home.

Just uploaded a few images and no problem for me

I found this thread when I had issues uploading an alternative design (png) for a tee-shirt. I've waited the typical 24 hours to see if it rectified itself. It still hasn't after two days.

My issue seems to be different though.

At first, I only had this Behind the Scenes message:
"New Upload -> Missing Required Parameter: imageSmall"

Now, the only the following products appear to be available - Prints, Greeting Cards, and Throw Pillows. The "Duvet Covers" text heading shows up in the EDIT function, but there are no additional lines or fields for the rest of the products that normally appear down the list. The error message appears on the line below the Duvet Covers heading.

When I go into Edit, scroll down it shows up where Shower Curtains should be, and there are no more products even showing up on the page.

I have the same error message when attempting to upload.

This issue is back or I am experiencing it for the first time. I tried uploading the image 7 times before hunting this thread. I tried renaming the file, I tried cropping the image slightly. Nothing worked.. What I wonder is if they do server maintenance once a month and this error is caused by the server maintenance. If it is server maintenance it would be nice to know that there will be server maintenance and what time to expect it completed.

June 19 - Same error message, same problem as everyone else, can't upload. Apparently this is an ongoing unresolved issue. Where can we report it so that someone besides other members is aware of it??
