My country, it's all that, in summer: water, bucolic countryside, old Quebec French type houses (shingle or metal "Canadian or Quebec style" steep gambrel roofs, wood clapboard/weatherboard), a barn, a church, a tractor going on gravel road sided by wooden fences, some cars, a red delivery truck crossing the country. There is also a farm with yellow round bales in a field, sheeps in the far, an apple tree with red fruits in, flowers, green conifer trees in a forest, mountains, and children playing behind the house and a dog. It could be a small harbour village along the St. Lawrence River that can accommodate the boats passing by, and/or the passengers/country riders/travellers can eat and sleep in a small "auberge" (inn) called "Au Cochon Sauvage" (At the Wild Pig). In short, all what a human being/child is building his or her memories/soul/heart on, a vision of happiness during childhood.

Digital Painting on my original photo. One can see so many things in ice. Here, to me, the abstract seems to show a puzzle taking shape or outlined or sculpted in ice, with a building or an architectural element in the far. But there is also a frozen landscape in the left hand corner, all transparent, emerging as a watermark, with little red dots pointing as the only color in the picture.

Photo shot during the 2016 Winter Carnival of Quebec City, Canada. Was part of an ice sculpted bar/installation/decoration located outdoor on a very popular street during this event: la Grande Allee.

Lovely Double Knockout Roses in Pink and in the lower left hand corner you can see the Red Double Knockout Rose readying itself to bloom! All with the gorgeous Georgia sky as a backdrop!! Double knockout rose is a newer variety of the knock out roses. There are pink and red knockout roses of the new double variety. These roses look different than the earlier knockouts that have single petals. The rose flowers have a much fuller look and gardeners are very excited about these roses as they are more beautiful. Knock out rose care is most likely the easiest of all rose care and maintenance, and I suspect that's why they are so wildly popular with landscapers and gardeners alike. They are great landscape roses and better than some plain green shrub that won't do anything except sitting there being green all season!

This was photographed at a Dunkin Donuts restaurant in the Bronx, New York City. It's a place where I frequently visit with friends on Sunday afternoons after church for a second coffee hour. The two men in the foreground are my buddies Joe Fores and Alexander Ortega.

The blue crab is perhaps the most sought-after shellfish in the mid-Atlantic region, and is caught both commercially and recreationaly. The majority of the catch is commercial. Blue crabs are usually harvested with simple gear: pot, trotline, handline, dip net, scrape, or dredge. Crab abundance tends to be higher in areas with ample cover, such as submerged aquatic vegetation.
During the off season, crab traps can be seen all along the shore lines of the Chesapeake Bay. Some as colorful as this image.

A pair of majestic snowy egrets (Egretta thula) take flight over a tributary near San Francisco Bay, emulating poetry in motion. With their territorial disposition, it is not often I see these graceful birds peacefully co-existing. But when they do, it is magnificent to watch. I am reminded of King David's words in Psalm 133:1:: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" (Tree of Life Version [TLV])

What an honor and joy to share and promote Beth's absolutely stunning tulip portrait of excellence! Gorgeous lighting and spectacular color!

The Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam is a vast maze of rivers, swamps and islands, home to floating markets, pagodas and villages surrounded by rice paddies. Boats are the main means of transportation, and tours of the region often start in nearby Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) or Can Tho, a bustling town in the heart of the delta. As an advisor I spent many days visiting these far out outposts during the days of repatriation from Vietcong control.

This photograph was taken at the Cloisters museum in New York City. The Cloisters, at the northern tip of Manhattan, is affiliated with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The buildings which form the Cloisters were medieval structures from various parts of Europe which were brought in pieces and reassembled here to form the museum complex.
