Silicon Valley Open Studios at The Art Center of Redwood City and San Carlos

Eighteen Artists from The Art Center of Redwood City and San Carlos welcome the public on May 6-7 for Silicon Valley Open Studios (SVOS)

Eighteen artists at The Art Center of Redwood City and San Carlos will open their studios to the public during the 31st annual Silicon Valley Open Studios (SVOS) on May 6-7, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibiting artists work in a wide variety of styles and media including painting, mixed media, collage, calligraphy, murals, photography, film, book art, and jewelry design. Visitors will be able to view hundreds of artworks, talk to the artists about process and inspiration, and acquire new artworks for their collections. The Art Center (SVOS Site #18; www.theartctr.org/svos-2017) is located on the second floor of 1700 Industrial Road in San Carlos; everyone is welcome and parking is free.

The Art Center is one site participating in the larger annual SVOS event held the first three weekends of May. To plan a studio tour, the public can find all participating studios at www.svos.org and in free catalogs located at The Art Center and other local businesses and libraries.

Participating artists at The Art Center include Lynne Auld, Rebecca Bangs, Teresa Beyer, Zdenka Bleile, Shirley Bunger, Laurie Johnson Lepkowska, Kerith Lisi, Dan Lythcott-Haims, Pinar Matles-Montalvo, Chris Montalvo, Amy Rattner, Fleur Spolidor, Robin Stearns, Cindy Stokes, Donna Wocher, Wendy Wood, Yucali, and Kari Zinser.
