Featured Artist Pat Holloway Dixon

Pat Holloway Dixon has painted for more than 40 years. Three of her paintings will be featured in the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center\\\'s Garis Gallery of the American West, for May and June. The paintings are available to purchase. Originally from Tulsa, OK, she has lived in Duncan, OK, since 1992. At 85 years old, she still teaches others to paint. She studied with artists Hugh Walkinshaw, Mario Cooper, John Pike and others. Toni Hopper selected the three paintings from the artist\\\'s collection. \\\"The paintings I chose represent the beauty and variety of not only Pat\\\'s work, but of Oklahoma. One features a location at the Wichita Mountains, and the other two are animals that can be found along the Chisholm Trail. This year is the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail cattle drive.\\\"
There is an admission fee to access the Garis Gallery of the American West.
