Creativity Bootcamp - Photography Workshop

Creativity is at the heart of every great photograph. What makes some photos great while other photos leave the view feeling nothing at all? Good photographers have a special talent for creating images that express their own unique vision. Do you have a unique photographic vision or voice? Are you still looking for it?

This Art is Everywhere – CREATIVITY BOOTCAMP Photography Workshop will help you think outside of your photographic box. It will push you into areas that you may have never gone before. As photographers, we get comfortable with our favorite lens, certain camera settings, or particular subjects. It’s great to develop your own unique shooting style, but it’s also important to break out of your comfort zone to help you grow as a photographer. During this workshop, you will be given an array of ideas and photos to help inspire you to try new things. There will be lots of exercises (both in the classroom and in the field) to help flex your creative muscles. Most will involve your camera, but not all. Be prepared to get creative!

The workshop will start at 8AM on Wednesday morning where we will watch a slideshow presentation, discuss some ideas and play with some classroom exercises. You will be given daily assignments to take out into the field. The shooting locations will vary depending on the assignments, but there will be a good variety of settings. We will save plenty of time for group critiques and editing.

Snacks and coffee will be provided on the first morning and we will plan to eat lunch together every day. Meals are not included with the price of the workshop. We will also plan for one optional group dinner. Time will be allotted during the second and third day during the sunrise hours and location recommendations will be given if you would like to take advantage of the early morning light. The workshop will end late Friday afternoon.

The Art Loft in Rockland will be our home base for the classroom sessions and our assignments will take place in the close vicinity of the Rockland, Rockport, and Camden area.
