This is a watercolor painting of blue dragon fish, they float rather then swim and they stay upside down. Even though they are called dragons they are very tiny and beautiful aquatic creatures!

Long haired dachshund portrait is a hand-painted acrylic painting in portrait format by the artist Karen Kaspar.
It shows the head and part of the body of a reddish-brown long-haired dachshund against an abstract background in strong blue tones. The dog stands on the ground and looks up at the viewer with a loyal dog's gaze from expressive brown eyes. The pet's long reddish-brown fur is painted in waves with loose brushstrokes.
This dachshund was my husband's pet many years ago when he was a little boy. Having recently found an old, blurred photo of the animal, I decided to paint this portrait for my husband's birthday.
This handmade acrylic painting is my contribution for Week 42 of the One Year Challenge 1 a week at Fine Art America.
