Meta Business Suite

Is Meta Business Suite any part of your business experience?

If so, what's your opinion of it?.

With me, I find it to be annoying interference.

As with the attached recent example, responding to a message for me, before I could, in a impersonal AI reply, referring to me as a "We"...I'M AN "I"

I don't know how I got it....and I'm not sure if I want to get rid of it, if I can.

Edit:

I do hope that you can read the blurry screenshot attachment

Yes it is. I use it daily for this site and my own

I actually like it. It is very helpful to see the planner and to have all the messages and comments in one place

If you have a page then use it. You cannot get rid of it

For those that cannot read my attachment here is the initial message:

"Hi, Roger! It's Tess from the Walkway beer booth at the Renfest back in the late 80's. Finishing my 30th year of teaching in NYS - with 5 more years in Germany that don't count towards my retirement. I googled Rats and Vultures and clicked the prompt for Facebook. Isn't technology something? Addicted, with love-hate relationship to FB.
Glad to read that you are still enjoying your art in your 80's. Certainly are some cool things you're making!"

Meta's response:

"Hi, thanks for contacting us. We've received your message and appreciate you reaching out".

My reply:

"Good Morning Tess,..I love hearing from old time fans....I see that we are neighbors...Let's keep in touch....Thanks, Roger"

Edit:

I've since been in further contact with Tess

Nope, I don't use it at all.

I looked at it, but it does not work for me. I like to have as much control of posing as possible and do not use scheduling.

I post to my page or my timeline and then share to any number of the groups I belong to.

It may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it did not appeal to me at all. The tie-in to IG is of no interest to me until they are willing to allow live links in IG. I have abandoned my IG page after trying to pump it up for over a year.

The only comments I get from IG are scammers, so I don't need Meta organizing them for me. lol

Not a fan, but it doesn't matter...next year they will require business accounts to be verified. It's a pay service. That isn't my issue. They want a government issued photo i.d. Ain't gunna happen. I will give SM some money, but not my i.d. Meta/FB doesn't even know my real birthday. For some reason, I don't trust them....LOL

Yeah, I hear what you are saying, Sharon.

We all want to see FB cleaned up and the spammers removed, which is how they plan on doing it to some degree.

It is damned if you do and double damned if you don't.

I pay them a little money now and then, which is not what bothers me. But Zuke has already proved, through various lies even before Congress, that he can not be trusted.

I have mixed feelings about it.

I will probably give them the benefit of the doubt, but until I see what we will get with the verified accounts, I will wait and see.

Right now, about 1/3 of the posts I get in the Facebook groups look like scams to me, or they are people that just flat refuse to obey the rules. I ban about 500 accounts a week now.

Depending on the new verified accounts, I am considering not allowing anyone to join one of my groups unless they are verified. Members already in will be grandfathered in.

From talking to several group owners, they are thinking of doing the same thing.

"Meta Verified is now available in the United Kingdom."

To help up-and-coming creators grow their presence and build community faster, today Mark Zuckerberg announced that we’ll begin testing a new offering called Meta Verified, a subscription bundle on Instagram and Facebook that includes a verified badge that authenticates your account with government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach. We’re starting with a gradual test in Australia and New Zealand later this week to learn what’s most valuable, and we hope to bring Meta Verified to the rest of the world soon.

There are important elements here.

If you know how to advertise to on FB it has the best conversion rate there is.

IDs when it comes to money now all are going to be demanded everywhere. At least FB has the resources to do a better job of guarding IDs. But it will be one of the biggest targets for hackers.

Taxes have to be paid on all ends. That is why IDs are demanded.

We leave a trail everywhere we go when we use a credit card so it makes very little difference. Paypal, our banks, etc all have this information, but taxing agencies always want direct information from everyone.

FB will insist that to buy anything on their platform you use their shopping carts. That is coming soon....as I read here only a couple of weeks ago.

The question is how competitive is the market. If it is too competitive it is not worth entering never mind forking over IDs.

Sorry Roger,

On topic I can not stand the FB messaging service on the pages. The actual text messenger system is good. But I use my cellphone text service mostly.

The problem with messaging and texting and SM is most people just use a cellphone text. There are so many avenues people have given up on doing anything else to make a connection most of the time. Part time connections bother all of us.

Trust any of them? That is not on them....that is on the hackers unfortunately. If it was a matter of trusting zuck? nah it is not. He twists his way around like a piece of spaghetti turned into computer code but he is not anyone's worry.
