How Can I Download My Own Images?

Because of a hard drive failure I've lost several images that were uploaded for sale on my Fine Art Americas website. Is there any way I can get my original images back from Fine Art America?

Just ask to Abbie :)

As Stefano said, Abbie has to set that up for you.

I recommend keeping 2 or 3 image backups of at least the images you deem sellable. One of those in the cloud. Amazon's cloud storage is great. Most storage services use them and charge you for it. If you happen to be an Amazon Prime Member, then you already have FREE unlimited photo storage as part of your membership. Something many people aren't aware of.

Susan, I'm using Amazon Clouddrive but I'm not very happy with them.
They stopped their service at the end of 2022 and said that I can use Amazon Photos instead, except that when I go on Amazon Photos, my folders have disappeared. Everything is mixed up (well by chronological order, but the private, the professional, the raws, everything is together, this is not how I work). And some important video files are missing...

Frankly, every photographer should back up his or her digital, or scanned images, all of them. I've been doing that for nearly 30 years. Today, I use two external hard drives, 5 terabytes each. The first one is connected directly to my computer and every photo I take and want to keep I place a TIFF and a jpeg of it on the hard drive. Every month or so, I'll backup the backup by copying the new images onto the second hard drive which is kept in my home, not in my studio. They are all in alphabetical order with numbers. I don't use the cloud. Someday there may not be a cloud. And who knows exactly who has access to it even now?

Oh, no!

I uploaded right at the end of the year. I must have missed this.

Delphi, I just checked my account. I'm using Amazon Photos. Below is what it says about Amazon Drive. I didn't care for Drive for the same reason you stated.

I back up all files to a second external hard drive. After I file my quarterly copyright, I back up just the copyrighted images to Amazon Photos and also put them on my laptop hard drive for easy access.

So I have two copies of everything and 4 of the sellable images.

Please use Amazon Photos to access your photos and videos moving forward. DO NOT DELETE your photos and videos files from your Amazon Drive account if you would like to access them through Amazon Photos. Deleting photos and videos from Amazon Drive will result in deletion from Amazon Photos. For additional help, visit our FAQ page.

Uploads to Amazon Drive will no longer be supported after January 31, 2023. You can still upload photos and videos to Amazon Photos."
