I’d love AR to be made available for Wall Art, especially on our Premium sites as an added benefit for being Premium members. We have AR for some products and it’s a great feature. I know there was an app that was AR, but i believe if offered on our Premium sites customers would stay longer and play around with the feature.

Fingers Crossed.

FYI (What is AR).

AR is Augmented Reality, if you take a look at your Throw Pillows, Coffee Cups, Yoga Mats and some others and see a 3D icon tap the 3D icon, on some devices like an iPhone11 or newer you will see the throw pillow in AR which means you can place that throw pillow on your couch to see how it will look, i’m asking for the AR feature to be offered on Wall Art so our customers can place our Canvases etc on there walls etc.

Please make it possible to block or hide forum members. Thank you.

It would be nice if High Activity Groups, that run contests, and have dedicated Social Media Pages, with lots of exterior links, would get more exposure to the general public as a reward from FAA/Pixels. Might help Independents to offset the competition with Getty, New York Magazine, and the Few Chosen Curated Collections. There are so many administrative volunteers that would jump at the opportunity.

I'm pretty sure FAA was founded on the concept of Independent Artisans.

We all would.

That's not a site improvement suggestion.

This is asking a lot, but it might be useful to have some sort of "add one of each from this collection to my cart." For instance, if I had a collection of flower images and wanted one of each of the images on, say, an ornament, or a greeting card, or even a notebook, rather than adding each one to cart separately. You never know, someone might even buy prints that way! I thought of a related idea to that too, but I'll leave it off and save it for next month.

On our personal websites, please add a link for IMAGES up near the shopping cart where you already have SHOP and DISCOVER. There is no link to see IMAGES only.

New email campaign feature...

After reading some of the discussions posted recently I have thought about something that may be more vital in the near future for us as artists/photographers to have a updated simplistic email template to build and connect through email subscribers/potential collectors/buyers and enthusiast of our work via our premium artist websites.

I have not used the email feature currently available since first joining FAA because it only ties into my FAA profile and not my own artist website.

But an automated email delivery system where a subscriber gets a weekly or bi-weekly update of our new uploads, top sales, most views/popular/trending images, comments, etc from the artists/photographers they subscribe to. Basically that promotes and features the best of the member through an automated process.

Promoting the artists, their works and bringing in more traffic. I would even be ok with it forwarding to my FAA/Pixels profiles if it works completely independently and doesn't need any input from members other than clicking to enroll like we do with other great features available for members.

Thanks for the consideration. :)

I think FAA has literally everything an artist could ask for, except the ability to sell originals.

Do you think we could potentially have an option to generate a Buy Now PayPal link for originals for our personal Pixels site? Each artist would have to have a text box for their shipping and return policies with it. I would expect FAA to take a percentage of each sale.

On our non-premium site, fix the “top” Search Bar to where we can keep potential buyers on our individual artists’ sites. (I know it’s already taken care of on our Premium sites) Currently, on our non-Premium sites, if my name is showing up with the little “x” box in the Search Bar, if the buyer clicks my name, it takes them out into the FAA site in general and away from my site. Perhaps the answer is to have 2 separate Search Bars at the top, one for “Search all of Fine Art America”, and one for “Search the site of this artist”. I don’t think most buyers use or even see the “Magnifier search” below our bio. This would be nice in order to have buyers who land on our page to be able to keep them there for a little while at least. Thanks for considering this. 😊

Increase Free Account images from 25 to 48

~ I would say 50 but you can only fit 48 images in one page

Reasons:
1. Increase Your Sales.
2. Great way to welcome new artists/photographers and see more variety of their artwork.
3. Great way to keep more artists/photographers, who are thinking of leaving.
4. Great way - solution for artists/photographers, who are thinking of downsizing.

Decals aren't a high ticket product by any means, but the most frequent review complaint I see about them is that they aren't the size the buyer expects. Decals are square BUT most images are not. Rather than cropping an image to square, in production the entire image is reproduced with extra space filled in with "transparent" (fine with me and I actually like that).

But I would like to see dimension descriptions changed so instead of saying 2x2 or 3x3 text reads "3" on long side" or something that would clarify what the buyer will actually receive.

(And yes, I know that anyone looking at a rectangular preview image and thinking it will somehow become square with no "loss" of real estate is not very clever.)

I see all the email campaigns that FAA sends out to previous art buyers on the website. Most of these campaigns result in no additional sales to me. They seem somewhat ineffective. Does FAA track the effectiveness of their email campaigns?

The one email campaign that does generate sales (at least for me) is the one where FAA advertises new artist uploads from artists that the buyer has purchased from in the past. I always get a sale on this email campaign.

I wish FAA did this email campaign of promoting artists more often. It works!

May I request RSS links on premium blogs as we have on FAA blogs? Also, I can no longer find the RSS links on picture pages, etc.

RSS seems to be coming back because of the influence of email providers and filtering. I use the FAA blogs and then send it out via FAA email list campaign tool. Both do a very good job. Though it seems because of the social medial landscape of late, blogging and RSS seems to be coming back.

Here is the latest of many articles about this https://www.cjchilvers.com/blog/the-smartest-dumb-tech/

Here is the new RSS kid on the block, so to speak, and you can only anticipate more to come.

I for one would never want to sell or buy some work that was A.I. generated. I would think others would feel same way. My suggestion is to tag/differentiate with a flag/icon/whatever between "Human created" Vs "A.I. created". This would allow buyers to make that distinction and decide on their own whether to buy or not.

I would like for the sort order of images in the default settings to be seen by the artist instead of having to clear the cache or go ingognito to see the updated changes

It is very confusing to artists when we can't see what the public is seeing.

Thumbnails are all different sizes on my image page

Yet, on the favorites tab (both my favs and who has fav'd) they are all neatly spaced at 4 to a line.

Is there any way to get image thumbnails all the same size? And 4 to a line like the fav's page is.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to make the default background color for mugs always be white (or whatever color matches the handle)? Thanks for asking!

I would like to see the ability to disable an item from sale with a single check box, as opposed to having to remove all of the prices for the item. That would save time and be a much simpler approach.

I would like to see the image threads on the forum be more medium specific.
Many people are posting the same their same image in several of the image threads is another reason it should be more medium specific.

The painters thread should be only traditional art work only. Paintings and drawings. There is plenty of digital mixed in and even AI.
I’m not sure about photography. If it can be photography only or include digital. They are so intermingled these days that it may not matter.
Digital art only.
The main one is AI. The new medium is in a class by itself. Especially since it is new and controversial. It should not include digital.

People also fail to state what medium their images are.

Here we go! On another thread, the question came up that there are "sample" kits of the 7-8 papers/canvasses that FAA printers use. It also came out that the kit has only blank pages, on the example of the papers.

".Ideally, the paper sample kit should have the SAME image on each paper type, really the ONLY way to see any differences....looking only on paper surfaces, is nearly impossible to "imagine" what an image would look like.... that the paper samples have an image on them, even if only a color chart, to help see the differences in papers, contrast, textures, etc....

Seems like a reasonable suggestion and would benefit those concerned....

I would love to be able to customize our watermarks, I have some images the watermark doesn't show because it white on white!

As Sheila suggested, I would love to have a search button where the clients can search my images in FAA, like my pixels site and stay on my gallery til they are ready to leave!

Thanks

I think it would be a great idea to add a category to our edit page in the "Artwork Category" box. Currently we have everything from photography, paintings (which is broad … maybe clarify that to read "traditional paintings"?), glass art, jewelry, ceramic art, photography, drawing, etc., and the overburdened dumping ground: digital art.

Adding a new one … "Artificial Intelligence" … would be cool beans.

I really think it would be great if people … fellow artists and potential purchasers ... could know what they're looking at. It could be a huge selling factor for the AI people. I'm sure there's a market who would absolutely purchase AI art … even if just to say that's what it is!!! The cool factor … the newness of the technique … it's got to have a unique appeal IF people knew what it was.

In my very humble opinion, misrepresenting what you've created isn't good … whatever it is, shout it out, loud and proud! So let's clear up any misunderstandings and give AI its own category!

I'm sure this has been asked but it would be great if you could raise the upload limit to accommodate higher resolution cameras.

A customer used the "contact" icon, sending me an email when they meant to contact FAA to return a purchase.

Please add a "Return" link to the footer on premium sites similar to the one in the footer of the FAA site.

Thank you
