Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love the trees changing colors of red, yellow, and orange, and the cool days and cozy nights. Driving down the road through the countryside is a way to take in the beautiful views of this magical season.

Don't you just love playing with kaleidoscopes? Tweaking them with scaly imagery and other weird little nuances is like adding a bit of frosting.

Daisy decided she needs to go out for the evening! So, she has had a shower in the lovely blue glass shower chamber, she has changed her shoes – to gold-studded red heels, and now she is putting on her lipstick! Notice, she has a few more shoes in her shoe rack!

Acrylic on canvas. 48" x 60". I had the opportunity to stay here back in 2016 and the owners of this motel in Custer, South Dakota are very proud of their acquisition. I spoke to them for what seemed like a few hours, and they gave me a really cool coffee cup with their logo on it. It really wasn't the type of signage I liked to paint, but after a bit of deliberation I decided to go ahead and do it and I'm glad I did --- it opened some new doors for me. The Rocket Motel actually has quite a following, and rightly so, the owners are very enthusiastic about preserving post war memorabilia and their passion for it shows in the meticulousness for which they have cared for the place. If you ever get a chance to visit the Black Hills, staying a night or two at the Rocket Motel would definitely be worth looking into.
