Outdoor Prints

Someone has asked for some prints that are going to be mounted outdoors. I am not sure what print type is best for outdoors. Does anyone have experience with this? Avg size will be poster size prints.

Hi James,

According to the FAQ -

Yes - you can hang your prints outside. However - do not hang them anywhere where they will be exposed to direct rain.

Our "hardiest" products for outside use are metal prints and acrylic prints. Both products do not use any paper or canvas, and as a result, moisture is not an issue.

I have canvas prints hung on my back porch...it's covered and also a screened in area...no warping or issues at all. So find out where they will be hanging them. They could spray a clear UV coat on it too just for a little added protection.

We have hung out tapestries last fall until December and they are still in great shape (putting them out this weekend again). I would suggest avoiding direct sunlight for long periods, to extend the quality.

Also can use a fabric protection spray (scotch-guard) to extend the life like many do with their outdoor flags.

Hope this helps.
