California poppies (Eschscholzia californica) paint an impressive hillside of floral overload at the Antelope Poppy Reserve near Lancaster during a rare superbloom in late March 2019.
This photo, like all my others, was taken from an official, designated park trail to prevent trampling of this precious resource and conserve for future generations to enjoy.

"Rudbeckia Blossom Irish Eyes - Selective Color Blue" by Patti Deters. This Irish Eyes Rudbeckia flower has soft petals edges with a selective color of blue for the center - very lovely. I've blurred the edges to give it a soft artistic dreamy look and feel and kept just the center blossom sharp to keep it simple. The original photograph was taken from an August bloom in my own Minnesota garden in zone 4. This particular artwork is in selective color black and white, and is also available in the original colors. This is a photo of the bridge in the Chinese Gardens at Montreal Botanical Gardens. It is a tranquil landscape with trees, rocks, flowers, and reflections in the water. Photographed in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in the spring.

Mother duck - updated to photo painted version



Mother duck with three ducklings floating on water behind the blades of grass in the pond. I took the photo in Ontario, Canada, in a sunny day of end spring and beginning of the summer and applied a digital painting to it for a more vibrant look.

Fire Flag or Alligator Flag blossoms in the Florida marsh

Summer harvest still life is coming to an end, fruit is almost gone. In this still life, I combine summer crop with a painting of a pair on a mug, to signify the changing of seasons and the upcoming pear and apple season.

Beautiful house in black and white.

I "revamped" an old B&W still from the 1931 movie, "Dracula" with Bela Lugosi and added yellow highlights from the glow of the fireplace. I also added yellow highlights and glow to the candles. Dracula is about to enter from the misty outside atmosphere while three of his brides anxiously await. This is Drac's Crib!

The Brides of Dracula are characters in Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. They are three seductive female vampire "sisters" who reside with Count Dracula in his castle in Transylvania, where they entrance men with their beauty and charm, and then proceed to feed upon them.

Fully bloomed pink rocktrumpet

‘Mandevilla’, also known as ‘Rocktrumpet’, ‘Chilean/Brazilian jasmine’ or ‘Dipladenia’, is a genus of perennial climbing plants originating from South & Central America and SW of USA. The genus was named after Henry Mandeville (1773-1861), a British diplomat and gardener. Mandevillas develop spectacular, often fragrant flowers in warm climates in a variety of colors, including white, pink, yellow, and red. The one shown in the image with closeup on the fully bloomed marvellous pink flower, actually is Brazilian jasmine, scientifically Mandevilla Sanderi ( ‘sanderi’ name refers to Henry Frederick Conrad Sander , a British horticulturist and collector who brought the plant back from Brazil.

I partially colorized a 1931 still from the movie Dracula with Van-Helsing (Edward Van Sloan ) and Dracula (Bela Lugosi). Van-Helsing was testing the count. The box had a mirror inside which greatly disturbed Dracula as he has no reflection!
