Dreams - Image Thread

To begin ...
 
A beautiful young woman smiles softly in her sleep as she senses the presence of the dream guardians she knew would come to her.

The shapeshifting in dreams is always a fascination, unintentional in this piece is that it appears the end of the blanket is transforming into a peculiar figure facing our sleeper.
 

Based on a dream told by my mother that her sister had when growing up... Pencil drawing with Photoshop manipulation of the idea - Good VS Evil.

The original image was taken in an abandoned house near Salisbury Maryland. I added some thought provoking effects for added interest and artistic content.

My sister-in-law Jeanne put miniature elements together to form a beach scene in a glass bowl. I photographed it and changed out a portion of the background.

Unusual cloud formations enlightened by an amazing sunset along the Emerald Coastline of the Florida Panhandle, inspired some dreaming as I captured this photograph from a condo balcony.

I have many images where one interpretation might be dream like. I'll start with this one.

Sweet dreams to all!

Just walking along the river and watching the riverboats and dreaming of where they're going.

A slow ride along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway at the top of the Appalachian Mountain Range can be very peaceful. Occasionally this winding road takes you down to scenic meadows, valleys and lakes. At milepost 86 you will find the Peaks of Otter Lodge and wonderful views of Lake Abbott, Sharp Top, Flat Top and Harkening Hill. A very restful place to spend a night or two, as the quiet rooms have no televisions, no phones and no internet service. That was just fine with me, as there was plenty of nature to enjoy outside. A long walk on a well-worn path around the edge of the lake allowed me to enjoy my very own... Peaks Of Otter Summer Dreams.

Dreamland

A self portrait profile composite against a sunset backdrop from North Carolina's Outer Banks. A treeline below and pinkish clouds above. I added my transparent profile and birds flying in the sky.

Oregon has over 300 miles of coastline with a variety of beautiful scenery. It doesn't matter if you are going north or south along the winding Pacific Coast Highway, you will surely enjoy the views. Wide sandy beaches, similar but ever-changing rock formations, with clouds and shoreline mist will often appear to be surreal. The many lookout points from Highway 101 provide ample opportunities to stop for a better look. Or get real close for a view of the reflections from the sand and surf at Cannon Beach and Oregon's wonderful ... Coast Of Dreams.

The sky's no limit as we soar up into the great beyond, with power and confidence, making dreams come true.

 

An Autumn view of Lake Waterford in Pasadena Maryland, with seasonal color reflections and a superimposed Native American portrait overlaying the landscape as if pleading for us to take care of our planet.

I added a white edge and vignetted border to further suggest an environment that was worshiped long before the arrival of the more recent disregard and lack of respect now evident for the place where we live... Our Home - Planet Earth.

Once upon that time, I followed my dream into a most magical enchanted eve.

 



Prints up 40" x 22.5" on a variety of substrates.

 

Consider the mystery of the light of a jester's moon.

This scene reminds me of childhood dreams so real it often appeared they were being projected high up in a corner by the ceiling.

A digital composite of a field of tall grass with the glow of the sun behind it superimposed with a Native American blended into the background using opacity to fade the figure into the image. The message intention is to care for the earth since it gives us life.

In my dreams....a vision of beauty in Yellowstone National Park...
