Posting Press Or Events

Every couple of months, since the pandemic began, I have been showcasing an artist's work in a virtual exhibit on my website, teresamariedreams.com. I have just completed one for October and would like to let the artists on FAA and pixels know about it so they can visit if they like. Is this something that is allowed on this platform? Would I do it as a press announcement? Or an event announcement? Or some other avenue? If this allowed, I would like to do it following proper protocol, but I don't know what that is. Thanks for any help!

I can't answer your questions, but thanks for supporting other artists! So sweet.

I do it all the time, but I don't do it until I have exhausted all other places outside of FAA to post it or share it.

Most FAA people more interested in selling their own work then buying that of others. Always some exceptions of course but as a rule, the FAA membership is not much of market to advertise into, IMHO.

The only caveat would be if you site is promoting another POD site that competes with FAA.

Hi; I've used it "The Press Release" It works and sends out in a different format .xml rss using IPTC NewsCode Taxonomies
which the press uses to find advents.
Because of the shut downs there aren't shows or artist openings so not useful at this time

There are plenty of shows going on in California. I have four of them going right now and working on two others as one of them currently running has been going for six weeks and is closing in two weeks. Another one closes in a little less than two weeks but it an ongoing show that we just do a change out.

Thank you Floyd and Louis for your comments. This exhibit is not for sales, just for views, hoping to bring more art exposure to the world. There are links where viewers can go to purchase the art if they want (and books authored by the artist).

I'm in Florida and we have some shows going on, masks and social distancing required, but they have just started going again in the past month or so. A lot of local venues have not yet started back up.

And yes, I'm using all the other places I can to post the information!

I'm going to put out a press release and see what happens. Always a learning curve!
