After Black Friday - Artists' Sunday

One of my local Art Centers shared this, and I thought I would pass it on:

"Artists Sunday is an art-focused shopping day the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. It follows Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, the day before Cyber Monday, the largest shopping weekend of the year.
We are an alliance of artists, non-profit organizations and supportive sponsors coming together to encourage consumers to shop with artists and craftsmen during the holiday season. Participation is free for artists and non-profit organizations."

They provide each participant with a tool kit that includes promotional materials and marketing ideas. They'll also list you in their directory.

Thanks for the link! I signed up.

Reading the site it looks as if they want artists who sell originals not prints although they do list photography so I guess that would have to be prints. Thanks for posting the link. I may sign up.

MM Anderson, I wondered that, too, but I don't have originals and they let me in. They also include performing artists.

Thanks Jodi, I signed up too! Applications need to be approved though, hopefully they'll take me.

I'm sure they will, Tina. Keep us posted!

By original, they just mean that you are the creating artist, rather than a gallery or print shop, etc.

Exactly, Christi!

this part bothers me:

The terms are pretty safe. They are only claiming the right to use whatever we post or share that specifically involves, or that we have shared with, them in connection with their program.

DK Digital

Well, they got back with me but the only suggestion was to update my browser but my browser is updated. The only other option is to try it using my phone, but to me that's pure torture. lol

Toby McGuire

DK do you have more than one browser on your computer? You could try an alternative one. I signed up with Firefox and it went through.

DK Digital

I tried it on both Edge and Chrome, same result, both are updated. Anymore browsers auto update anyway, it's unlikely for anybody to have outdated browser running on their computer.

Well, I just used my phone to sign up, that appears to have worked.

Nervous Nellie here. I'm just wondering how they are monetized.

On another note, I do see that the main person behind this has his photography gallery on another POD.

Bill, I'm sorry for taking so long to reply. I didn't know the answer to your concern, and have been able to find out only a little. They say, on their website, they are supported entirely by sponsors, but I'm having trouble finding out who these sponsors are.
EDIT: I just googled the question and found the list of sponsors. https://artistssunday.com/sponsors-test/

Val Arie

If you scroll down the page to the bottom it lists sponsors and other stuff of interest. I searched myself and it took me to my website.but I do not see a way to search for anything other than by artist name. Makes it more than a long shot.

Grace Joy Carpenter

Val Arie, you can type whatever term you want to search by in the search box. I tried it with artist name, art type, city, and state.
