Blazing aspens and evergreen conifers make a stunning spectacle in the high Sierras of eastern California in this pre-dawn 2017 photo I took near the 10,000 foot elevation.

During the same trip, I was able to capture this closeup of a magnificent aspen, its autumn finery set against a gorgeous sky.

Like a savory golden bowl of exquisite triple orange sorbet, the colors in this image present a range of rich tones to refresh the soul and lead your mind away from the day’s cares, even for a few moments.

This photo ~ which has a lot of sentimental value ~ is from my Israel Pilgrimage, November 2009.
It is the result of more than 34 editing sessions and countless hours. A true labor of love.
The original photo was taken from inside a tour bus traveling at about 40 MPH en route to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
To bring this photo up to saleable quality, I removed the window glare, straightened the photo (it was severly leaning and distorted when I took the photo while the bus was moving), plus numerous color and lighting adjustments.
There was no place for the bus to stop for this photo which had to be taken “on the fly”. It is now a special memory from my family’s Holy Land trip.
This photo is also being considered for my book which will be published soon.

A majestic looking Bald Eagle perches on a branch in front of an approaching storm in the Florida Everglades. I would have been content just to photograph the storm clouds but the eagle was certainly an unexpected and pleasant surprise.

A beautiful autumn fall season photo in the Ozarks near Branson Missouri with waterfalls and creek reflections.

I went for a drive west of Wausau in Marathon County, Wisconsin, to find some colorful fall foliage. I was in an area I have never been to. I came across a bridge with a small creek under it. Here this colorful maple was over the water. I waited until the wind died down and the water was reflection the green and gold.

I went for a drive west of Wausau in Marathon County, Wisconsin, to find some colorful fall foliage. I was in an area I have never been to. I turned onto a dead end road. At the end of the road, the maples leaves were vivid with color.

I captured a landscape at the Outer Banks of North Carolina and used it as the base of a sci-fi world, adding a glowing moon, stars, comet, and set it outside an open window. I then added green curtains, a textured wall and subtle vignette with a touch of mist outside. The mind has access to a new worlds. It can be surreal and lonely or full of opportunity and fantasy. We'll start with an "OPEN" window and see where it leads us.

I was a little upset during my last trip to Monterey because the California Wildfires had exploded everywhere, and the landscape was clouded by smoke. Walking on the beach with my camera, however, I found a Marine Algae treasure, which I photographed to make a beautiful black and white natural pattern.

I stitched two wide-angle formatted photos together to produce this panoramic view of the Kinder Farm Park pond with Canada Geese, 10-6-20. On this day, the surface of the pond was completely covered with algae which from a distance appeared similar to a frozen pond.
