Abbie Is Missing

The unofficial Abbie is missing, the official Abbie is missing, old , new and all are missing.
We need something to talk about in an artistic fashion.
Toilet paper, toe nails and hair cuts are all gone down the toilet.
No images though.

Mario I don't know how to artistically say this.
So the toilet papers still scarce,
You cook right Mario, you know how fashionable to use non sticker spray PAM , that might help when you really dont have toilet paper. 🤔 just wondering

Mike, is cat lost is high nowadays, due to shortage at the grocery store?
An old friend of mine was telling me this story, when they were in Germany during the war, they had trouble finding rabbits, the dish will still come to the table and parents told the kids , that is 'roof rabbit ' , sure the cats around the neighborhood was missing.

Mike Savad

i don't think we are quite up to eating cats yet. there is still food, its just a little harder to come by. i think once everyone has adjusted, the stores and supply lines will too. now that people are home they are cooking more, making cakes and such and the ingredients are running out faster. but as stores adjust to it, i think they will over compensate and it will level out and normalize... until the next panic on who knows what.

Oh , that is not too bad then hope they keep refilling the stocks as it goes out. Yes the kids get extra belly when they stay home all day and are bored too, even the adult.

Mario Carta

Tony, I would never, never, never use PAM. :-), plus I have a bidet waiting to be used once we run out of our stock. LoL!

I'm curious what happened to the Edit This contest. I'm sure frustrating with those entering and not following rules but now that we all have more time on our hands would be fun.

It would be awful if Abbie went missing. It would be awful if any of you went missing. Maybe this is a good time to pause for a moment and reflect on the blessing of having all of you here.

Rose Santuci-Sofranko

I'm confused, there was a post asking people to only post "Art related Stuff" in the forums...and it was "pinned" to the top...I don't see that anymore. Abbie, can you please clarify if that is the new rule here? Sorry to add my question here, but it seemed fitting. Thanks!

Jennifer, at the moment I'm laid up and in isolation as I've the early symptoms of Covid-19 seemingly

Before that I was ultra busy trying to do several things at once at home and here.

I'm sorry

I did actually think of it earlier today funnily enough, but I just don't feel up to it right now.

As soon as this bug clears...(I'm hopeful it is only a bug) I'll start it up again.

Hope you feel better soon, Abbie!

Abbie, I am very sorry to hear that you have the early symptoms. You have to take extra care of your self. I know the first medical DR. in the UK is dead from covid 19 yesterday.
May be you can try malaria vaccine ????? 🤔
Whatever you do get better , take your time but get better Abbie.
I had pneumonia in Sept. 2018. Started as I was traveling from Calise France to Port Dover in UK and I had to wait three days for my flight to Canada. It got worst , I had to go to the emergency from the Airport in Toronto.
It took more than a month and three different antibiotics to stop it and bring it to normal.
Take good care Abbie,
I am working in my head to compose an image that would have all what is going on today in our world in one picture. But that is for another time when you get better. Take care Abbie.

Abbie Shores

Thanks.. I'm in touch with my son everyday who is medical. He'll let me know when to contact them. At present I'm just treating it like any other bug. Lots of fluids and sass

i wouldn't experiment with pills until its clear what to use. as that has its own side effects from my understanding.

i may be getting myself an oximeter, its something i don't have yet, and is probably a good idea to have. i'll add it to my collection of meters and things.

Abbie - Hope its just a cold!! Sending prayers your way for a quick recovery.

Stay away from Ibueprofin, advil and Aleve. They say that feeds Covid-19

I feel a little better today. It seems to have been a mini version of the illness that laid me up in Jan/Feb. I've to keep tabs on how I feel and hopefully I'll be back 100% soon

wipe everything down in your house that you touched just in case. partly because of the current virus. and partly because maybe you some how re-caught the same virus? or maybe its an allergy.

Wonderful news, Abbie!

Hope you can take it easy and get plenty of rest. Naps are so restorative. Little cat naps are good medicine too.

I'm sorry you're poorly, Abbie! We sound about the same. Under the weather enough to not want to do anything... yet (for me anyway) not sick enough to stay in bed all day. Whatever I have, I don't want to give it to someone else. There are many elders here... and people are NOT following protocols. Florida is a scary place to be living in right now.

Edit: Oh good, I see you're feeling a bit better! yay!

Becky Titus

I'm resting today

Joy, I feel the same.. Stay away from everyone and hope it clears

I will share with you all that my hubby went up to New York City ... on the train ... in early February, before the youknowwhat hit the fan, and came down with a chest cold. Which I then got around Valentine's Day. Again, before the alarm. Neither of us had a fever and we muddled through, as one does. But I've been feeling iffy off and on since. Now that I'm an old fart, chest colds don't like to let go of me too quickly. But it occurred to me, we didn't have much of a winter and a while back there were predictions of a rough allergy season this spring.

So, I took a Claritin, and felt better within an hour.

My advice? Try your favorite seasonal allergy med?

It might help.

: ))

AND STAY WELL.

Mike Savad

i do know my allergies are going crazy. they say every year is bad and this is bad. from eyes burning, breathing issues and fog. allergies do some very weird things that can mimic the worst illnesses.

Thanks, Abbie and Laurie. I am on my regular allergy meds, along with everything else. It's weird how the Nasacort (which I can only take once a day, dangit) helps with the earache for a couple of hours.

Lois Bryan

Joy? Can u take regular decongestants? Also, there is a product by arm &hammer ... it’s a saline mist for the nose. Squirt that, hold your head upside down and all around, then blow. It helps clear stuff, and no drugs.

Sorry if I just grossed anyone out!! 🥴

Lois Bryan

Disclaimer ... not a doctor, just a mom.

Joy McKenzie

Not so much a stuffy nose as an allergy nose. Yes I have the saline, which I can use any time and Loratadine which works for me. Thanks, Lois! Stay well. Also not an MD.
