😎on1 Photo Raw 2020.1 Launch Sale Just $49.99 Plus Great Sm Bundle Deal!

ON1 Photo Raw 2020.1 is on sale for just $49.99 and you can get a bunch of extras including a 1 year SmugMug Portfolio plan if you pay just $79.99 for the entire bundle. That SM plan costs $180 yearly or $23.99 monthly alone. A great deal if you do not already have an SM account (or if you want a second account).

If you are a previous user of ON1 the bundle upgrade is just $63.99 plus tax. The regular price of ON1 Photo Raw 2020 is $99.99.

ON1 is a basically sort of like Photoshop and Lightroom combined into the same program. I just upgraded because I could not pass up the bundle deal. ;-)

You don't need a subscription for ON1 (unlike Photoshop and Lightroom) but they won't give you a free upgrade if you want the next major release (whenever that is). For instance, I just paid to upgrade from ON1 Photo Raw 2018.5

With Skylum's Luminar I got the SmugMug 1 year Portfolio plan free... without having to pay anything extra.

I did too with my original purchase of Luminar for Windows back in 2018 (people were panning Luminar for Windows back then).

So after I had the early version of Luminar I received a free copy of Luminar 3 for being Smugmug user (on the subscription that I got "free" with the early version of Luminar ;-)) and then I purchased Luminar 4 outright for $59 and it did not include a Smugmug subscription because I waited too long and the pre-sale and early offers were over.

I just quickly checked the Skylum site and I didn’t see them currently running any deals at this time on Luminar that include the 1 year Smugmug portfolio plan. The price listed on the website is $89 for Luminar alone. They are running a deal on Luminar and Aurora HDR for $109 which I posted about on my Affinity Photo deal thread.

The bottom line here is you are getting ON1 Photo Raw 2020 for half of the regular retail price and you pay an extra $30 for the $180 Smugmug plan which still gets you in for both at $20 under the regular retail price of Photo Raw alone. If you paid for Smugmug monthly you are getting 1 year’s worth for the cost of 5 weeks.

So it’s only $79 for a minimum of $280 worth of software and service and it’s only $64 bucks if you are upgrading your copy of ON1 Photo Raw. You also get a free pack of 100 luts and some textures and a couple of other things as well.

I am not sure what the previous deal with Luminar has to do with this latest ON1 deal since Luminar is currently selling for $89 without the Smugmug plan. Glad you took advantage though...as did many.

One year of the portfolio plan is a steal at $30 and is still a great deal at $80 considering you get Photo Raw 2020 and the luts too.

Another great part of the desk is you also get the Genuine Fractals algorithm for resizing with Photo Raw which used to be quite expensive when it was sold as stand-alone software. Personally, I am a Gigapixel AI resizing guy, but if you don't have the $100 for Gigapixel and you don't have Photoshop's Precision Details 2.0 algorithm, some will find it quite useful. Some may still find it useful if you have both Photoshop CC and GigaPixel AI.

November 2019. The current version of Luminar (4). Free smugmug plus some free presets (looks).

To be honest, tho, I have not done anything with the smugmug account;. I took a good long look at it, devoured some tutorials, but ultimately decided I did not like it.

To each his own... other's mileage may vary.

Just to be clear...

Luminar does not currently come with a subscription to Smugmug.

https://skylum.com/l/luminar-checkout

I have been with Smugmug on and off since late 2004 or early 2005. I used to participate heavily in the Digital Grin forums (the Smugmug official forums) in the very early days and tried to help shape the platform as a user very early on. I had many a thread with back and forths with Baldy (the Smugmug Founder) and other top guys there. Discussions on all sorts of topics from compression, to what to call certain print sizes, to back printing, etc. etc.

It's an excellent platform that is very customizable with great print services. If I hadn't already had a Pbase account and built a bunch of my own websites, I would have probably used it full time and uploaded 50K+ photos to there by now.

For those that don't know who Smugmug is, they are the guys that recently purchased Flickr and they put Pbase to shame more than a decade ago. That said, I still have my Pbase account from early 2003. ;-)

The Smugmug pricing after your $180 plan for just $30 is up ranges from $48-360 yearly. ON1 Photo Raw 2020 is yours to keep forever.

Back to the topic of this thread which is ON1 Photo Raw 2020.1 and the bonus Smugmug offer.

The 30-day fully functionional trial of Photo Raw 2020 is here:

Since Luminar was mentioned --> here is a bit of a comparison overview.

Here is the Photo Raw 2020 Sneak Peak live event.

If you are wanting to ditch your Photoshop and Lightroom subscription plan ON1 2020 is one of the best non-subscription alternatives available.

Just bought the $49.99 licence, was an upgrade for me as I had an old copy of ON1 Photo 10 installed on my PC.

Not used ON1 for some years, but been looking to change from LR6 without annual subscription model and ON1 looks about right for me, namely like LR but with layers for extra editing capabilities. Will need to learn the interface, but with 'stayathome' in force, guess now is a good time to learn.

This deal is still alive and here is a good comparison video between Lightroom and ON1...this video was just posted in the last few days.

I had been using Luminar (or MAcPhun - what they were called before Skylum) for many years (about when LR started the subscription service. I gave up on Luminar at v3 - they planned many things for v3 which never materialized, and it was very slow on my mac (late 2015 27"iMac with fusion drive). I decided to switch to ON1, and do not regret it at all. Once I adjusted to the workflow things started going a lot better, and it is a lot zippier than Luminar.

Don Northup - your desire to buy such bargain software is amazing!

But!

How do you ever get the time to use any or all of it?! :))

LOL --> good question.

FWIW, this particular software (like most of the others) I have used in the past. I spend 8-10 hours a day at my desk on photos usually close to seven days a week and have a library of between 600K and a million photos so I have plenty to work on.

Some software like Luminar I only use for a couple of functions.

I am trying to see if ON1 or ACD is substantially better than Zoner Photo Studio (subscription model) which I use in place of Lightroom for most tasks. I do use Lightroom on occasions when I need it.

If I can dump Photoshop and Lightroom for a few years I will do it not so much to save money but I like supporting competition and innovation.

Cheers
