I will be traveling to London, Woolwich Arsenal to be exact next week and will be there until after the new year. Would anyone like to meet at a pub or coffee house to chat?
I'll be visiting my only two grandchildren in Woolwich. My daughter moved to London to teach special needs children close to nine years ago. She is not moving back to the US. This will be our first Christmas with the toddlers.
We drove through Manchester back in 2018 on a car trip from Bath to Grimsby. One couple of my wife's great-grandparents were from the Blackpool area. Manchester is quite a large city. I hope to return to that area to do genealogical research.
As for London being strange, I should fit right in.
I might just jump into a collapsed building just to meet you son. On second thought, I'll get in touch when I get near Manchester. Happy Holidays, Abbie.
There's a pub near the London Eye called "Doctor Watson's. Doctor Who? You may ask. You Also may ask. Is owned by a Doctor? No. It's near the fish and chips restuarant. Look for a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 in the parking lot. If it is, come inside. I will be dressed in a black and white tux and our secret code word will be 007.
Unfortunately, the last time I announced the date and time of my appearance, an ex- KGB agent put arsenic in my Martini. Fortunately it was stirred, not shaken, therefore I refused to drink it.
Just remember, when one is on her queen's turf, one is subject to her majesty's secret service.
