Create A Text To An Html Clickable Link

I am looking for a free 'Text' to make an 'HTML' link. I use to have one but some how I lost the book mark for it.

If any one here can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

If you can't get Abbie's link to work, just type this code in any word processor and change the link and text as desired.

Thanks Greg but I do not have any word processor. I will just use a plain link for now.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Andee, Windows has Notepad which you can use to save a text file. Look in your start menu under Windows Accessories.

I guess that worked... thanks Abbie...

I am still trying to figure out how to post an image here without uploading it to FAA first.

@Floyd - to post an image it has to be uploaded somewhere so that you can copy the URL. You can then use Abbie's link (if needed) to generate the code to post.

And Andee, the text editor used to post in this forum is sufficient to generate the code you need.

Greg, that is just going to create a link to the image in the thread I believe... not the image itself.

I just tried the Our Arts link out of curiosity and it said access denied, contact system administrator

I post an image from my website and then an HTML code link is provided and I can embed it here. It is not clickable.

Just visited ourartsmagazine and was able to do this with the form

“The Eclectic Photos Of A Scattered Photographers Mind”

@Floyd - you can create a link to any image with a URL. That's how I posted the code example in this thread. And you can obtain the URL to any image you have on your AW from the code at the beginning of the page. For example, in Chrome open an image page, then hit Ctrl-U. The source code will then be shown. That image URL is usually line 16.

Testing...

 photo test image_zpsh5kh8b0l.jpg

Well, that works, but didn't realize it would have a PhotoBucket logo on it.

I made a free account at PhotoBucket, uploaded an image, popped up the options for the image, chose Share, copied the HTML code, and pasted it in the post. First tried copying the IMG code, that didn't work.

You must be doing something different to get that access denied

I've checked and there are no issues on the forms or page I can find

I will look again later

Abbie I tried it again today and got the same error message. I entered the word 'Kitchen' in the one line that I wanted to be clickable and enter the link https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/andee-photography?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=63662 in the spot below that and click submit but I get that error each time.

I am just wanting a word, in this instance the word Kitchen to be clickable to go to that collection link.

Never mind!

This happens with some links, but no errors are marked below.

Jeffery Johnson

Andee I tried your link and it does create an error.

Abbie could it be because of the unusual characters in the link that for some reason is causing an issue.

Becky Titus

I tried it with several links from my profile; all caused errors.

Nonetheless, you should be able to just write it out yourself in Notepad using Greg’s “copy and paste this code” info.

Writing it out like that is all well and good but I get a lot of people using my html and it is very annoying it is not working

I will go through it with a fine tooth comb this evening

Andee, try a different browser....I had trouble logging into another site with Firefox for a while so I downloaded Chrome. I don't really like Chrome, but at least I could log into that site with it. It might be a browser thing.

Will not the < a href > work. < a href='https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/andee-photography?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=63662' target='_blank' rel='nofollow' style='font: 10pt arial; text-decoration: underline;'>https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/andee-photography?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=63662>andee photography < / >< work.

I will amazed if you can see that.

Mary I tried a different browser and got the same message.

I've been in and double checked all the form and page. It's working and I'm not seeing any issues :-(

The only thing I've done is stop people registering on the site.

Looks like I'm going to have to rewrite them all

A clue…

One thing I noticed yesterday was that it worked fine with https://fineartamerica.com and https://pixels.com

But it did not work with https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/becky-titus or https://pixels.com/profiles/becky-titus or https://becky-titus.pixels.com
