Benefits From Charitable Artwork.

Artists are frequently asked to give.....give.....give.
I for one have been happy to oblige. So far, I believe the gifts have given back so much more. Isn't that usually the case.

Here is an article that is bringing me some new attention. I would love to hear from others that have benefited from their charity artwork.

Social Conscious Advertising is what we used to call it.

And, yes, I give a lot of artwork away and really enjoy doing it. I get ten times the return in value just in knowing that something good came out of something I created. And I have sold a lot of art doing it over the years.

Hi Patty,

I read your story and the story of your art in the link. You are a survivor! I can see your positive attitude shining in your work. I especially liked "Chasing the Pink Bus Wide" celebrating the new mobile mammogram unit. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/chasing-the-pink-bus-wide-patty-donoghue.html

I just posted a couple of wolf pics. will donate all proceeds of sales to Wolf Matters.Org who advocate for wolves. They are an essential part of our eco-system and should not be wantonly destroyed due to wacko theories by the Alberta Government that their destruction will save the Little Smoky Caribou herd. This carnage happens in the winter when they can be followed due to their tracks showing in the snow....maybe it won't snow???

Thank you Diane. This has been a very popular piece. Some love it for the women's Health issues. Others just see happy active women and a camper. It is sitting in at least one womens clinic here in NC. I would like to see someone put it up in a large acrylic print. That would be really nice. Again thank you

Thank you Julie and Floyd for using your art to promote worthy causes.

I would imagine a lot of art on FAA has been used for various causes. It seems to be a popular request.

I am working on a painting now to benefit "Team in Training" and "Bike MS". The plan is for it to be auctioned at an Artist reception ( for me!) that is benefiting these groups. So of course I am spending way too much time and $ on it. Ha. I just need to do it right and believe that 10X rule helps me out. Right?
Thank you for sharing.

I always question when I create a painting for a commission or purpose, will they like it? Is it doing its job? bla bla bla...... doubt, doubt, doubt...........second thoughts.....

But they Loved this one! It is doing a great job for Bike MS and Distance Running, Team in training.

The article that is advancing my painting features 4 brave breast cancer survivors and their stories. I feel quit privileged to have my story among them.

How do you handle charitable requests? Do you ask for the cost? Are you able to provide a gift card to your Pixels account?

I wish I could answer this, but no one has asked

no one has asked me. but i would deny it. i don't know who these people are. and if i have to go out and print it out and ship it over, i'm out a picture and the money for an event i don't care about. and there is no way i would give them the picture itself.

I will donate to charities I believe in, or are invested in (e.g. fundraisers for my children's schools). I will also often contribute to silent auctions at art fairs I am participating in (usually I will donate a photo which isn't selling). I do not donate tho people who email me out of the blue (who I don't know).

I think it is beautiful to donate some artworks to HUMANITARIAN CHARITIES.
