Panoramic Article

Luminous Landscape website just published my essay on Panoramic Photography (including a number of panoramic images).
This is a paid website ($12/year), but they allow you to read one article for free.

Yes, well done. It is nicely written and easy to follow with good example pictures.

Years ago I created these panoramic images by simple cropping..It can be useful when the main interest is wide and the top/bottom doesn't add much.

These ones are all the Summer Palace, Beijing, China. I have hundreds but none are on FAA yet as I would first need to rebalance them for print and that takes time.(plus I didn't always get that right last time).

Congratulations and knowing your subject well! Appears to be a great learning website reasonably priced without pandering to products given to review. Can you share with us your path to publication?

Thank you all for your compliments.

Suzanne, if your question was meant how to go about getting an article published on the Luminous Landscape site, I would recommend first to read their existing articles and also their forum discussions about the published articles to get a feel for what do the readers like, and then submit your article to them.

I agree that their annual subscription fee ($1/month or $12/year) is very reasonable and well worth it. By the way, Luminous Landscape forum section is completely free, you can read all forum posts and contribute as well, whereas the subscription price allows you to read the articles on the front page and also access thousands of the past articles and videos..

Another point to consider is that LuLa (abbreviated form) recently underwent a change in management and that will be reflected also in some editorial aspects and their future direction. By reading their forums and the past articles you'll get a better understanding about the history and future of this unique site.
