Faa Groups

I just unsubbed from a bunch of groups because my images were sitting in the queue for months. No one bothered to look at them to reject or accept. What's up with that? I know people are busy, but then if they don't have time to manage the group maybe they shouldn't create one. My submissions met the qualifications of the group specifications so it's a disappointment.

Hi Carel, your more then welcome to join my group. I go through the images and accept or reject them at least once a week, sometimes longer depending on how busy my week is.

Perhaps recommend to FAA to delete groups that have no activity for 30 days?

Greetings Carel, unfortunate about the particular groups you were a member and lack of leadership. Nice gallery and you might be interested in joining one of my two groups which I am administrator.

The group has maintained very high and high recent activity group. You are welcomed and the members would look forward to having you as a member!!!

Cheers and Happy Fall, Michael Hoard

groups are like pets, you have to walk and feed them now and then. often people buy pets because they look cute, give them status or whatever. groups are often ignored, abandoned, people leave the site, they forget or they die. its usually best to tell tech or abbie or someone to erase certain groups and just get rid of them.

this is the reason i'm on so many, if one isn't working i have a backup.

Carel - I'm glad to see you are on top of your group submissions, and it's unfortunite the admins of the groups are not. Have you thought to send the admin a note and see what's up? Groups are suppose to be removed after inactivity for a certain number of days, forget what that number is.

Anyways, as the others have said, you are welcome to join my groups that apply. I accept images almost daily, and though I feature once a week I rotate the featured (from top to bottom) almost daily. You can find them at the groups tab on my profile page ... you might like Square Art World Group, or Smart Phone Photography Group if you use that for your images.

Enjoy your day.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

Frank Casella, I have reached out to the group admins and if I ever get a reply (rare) I am told they were busy and will get to it, but never do. I can't imagine I'm the only one going through this in those cases. I will check out your groups and see if I have anything that would qualify me for a submission. Thank you for offering.

Thank you also Michael Hoard, I have entered into at least one of your contests and it was fun. Not sure you'd find interest in my work otherwise though.

Yes, I was on several groups for "back ups" too Mike Savad, but I try to make sure I fit the requirements of the group not just join randomly. That is for the group benefit, not mine. As I said I unsubbed from several and now belong to hardly any. I'm not sure at this point it is even worthwhile to submit. Maybe better to stick to contests.

All the best to everyone!

Send an email to Abbie to let her know which groups have become inactive. She'll take care of them.

Johnny Manos, funny post! I love your artwork on FAA. Great variety of work on your gallery.

Robert Woodward - don't know how to reach Abbie. But thank you for the suggestion.

All you have to do is go to the Group Moderators Page: https://fineartamerica.com/groups/group-administrators-only.html?tab=overview Abbie's Avatar is in the corner. Click it and go to the Contact button. Click the contact button and send her an e-mail.

She always gets back to me promptly when I do this.
