Selling Licensed Images

Has anyone sold their work as licensed images? Someone wanted to buy a few of my images for a variety of different venues and I told her FAA didn't have that available. After scrolling around the site I find they did. It seems like it is a challenge for people to find out about this or am I missing something?

You can put your images here and price them for licensing. You need to go behind the scenes and scroll down the page to enable the image licensing program

Here is your page: You really need to charge a lot more for download of a digital file!

No need to rely on FAA or someone else. They are your images, you can license them anytime you want. Just understand how it works and the value of your images.

Licensing contracts are based on usage. If you are uncomfortable with creating contracts and enforcing them, I suggest going through an agency.

The setup here is not a staffed agency. It is a mechanism for digital downloads for people with experience who want to do their own licensing. FAA takes a fee of 30 percent for supplying the mechanism.

....

It is a good thing that licensing is a challenge to find because the main customer here is retail, not business clients. BTW - licensing is not "buying" images. It is more like "renting" them for a specific usage for a specific time period. Buying implies giving away the rights to the image which is something you should never do.

" Buying implies giving away the rights to the image which is something you should never do.: You can do if the price is right!
