Interested In Adding Inspirational Text To Photos, Suggestions?

I would like to try adding inspirational quotes to some of my images, jist wondering what program people use that keeps the image quality the same? Also, would love to hear any feedback on doing this type of art from real world experiences. Thanks in advance.

What inspires you, Len? That looks like a bull? for your avatar...maybe something to do with strength? I look at my images upon completion and reflect on what evolved in the creative process and expand on it. I google things on symbolism/positive affirmations based on what I see in my art.....hope that helps...I'm not one to critique anyone's creativity. sorry I can't help there.

There are a lot of beautiful shapes that you capture in your art.....just a thought to expand on the symbolism of the shapes and as you read on them and learn...the texts will follow...just dive in and let in happen...the beauty of creativity...

Thank you Laurie, your work alone is inspirational and a good starting point for me to get started. Thank you.

Best regards, Len. You're welcome. :0) Thanks for stopping by to look at my work and glad you found it to be inspirational. If I add text to an image, I use photoscape on my Mac..but there are many here with much more experience than me...I'm not that tech savvy...there are threads you can read through regarding what programs artists use.

I'm not sure you'd have any noticeable image degradation by adding text to any image in general. If you're adding text to an existing image you may have some degradation on JPEG each time it's saved. So naturally work from a lossless image file (BMP, TIFF, PSD, etc.) if possible before saving your finished copy to Jpeg as a last step. I use Photoshop for mine.

Not that it will inspire you but here's a link to my "Text Gallery" I've been building so far...

Experience?
Occasionally inspiration (of some type... I think there are different kinds), will come upon me and it would probably be best to take advantage of it by immediately using your creative gifts to express it. The next best thing is to make note of what you want to do because of it.

One of my inspirational experiences came after my Father passed away. Keep in mind that everyone is different but for me, I felt the need to take a walk through nature. It did wonders for my emotional state by first and foremost, reminding me that there are much bigger things in the universe than myself. Rather than relate what I embedded in an image I'll just give you a link to it here...

I've added quotes to three photos I think and text to a few digital art pieces. I just use Corel PSP which is what I use for all my basic editing, I didn't notice any image degradation from doing that, not sure why you ever would. As for the quotes I found them on http://www.brainyquote.com
