Getting To Know Ed Meredith

......No favorite because they all have something different to offer me at different times. But if if I have to pick one right now, it would be Do Not Deny The Senses For Even They Are Enlightenment. The reason would be that it’s paying it’s own freight, it was entered into an international competition, “The Worlds Greatest Erotic Art of Today”. Yeah I know that sounds pretentious, but hey, I didn’t name it. .......

(To see that image follow the link coz this is a different one ~ Abbie)

Gosh I don't know where to start, what a fabulous interview Ed and I love your work. Played Orff in the background as I read the interview. I liked the skeletons in your studio (better than in a cupboard any day). I was totally smitten by the video for 'The Last Eve', great reveal.

Thank you Dorothy that was sweet of you to say...
Lynne and I would attend an live Orff concert whenever it played at Lincoln center in NYC...
With full orchestra and choral that piece, O Fortuna, would wake the dozers and give me chills...

Thanks Hans

LOL Uther, it's all an illusion there's plenty left, just do it different... lol

And thank you Abbie, I'm honored to be included in this Getting To Know series.

Congratulations Ed!!! Great interview! I admire your work and your humbleness. Also enjoyed your video "The Last Eve"

Love your message: "I’m trying to say, look beyond the superficiality of the image and see what is there, go past the obvious, and look into the periphery where most of the world exists but is to often ignored."

I enjoyed that... it's good to be reminded to just do it and not worry about all that pretentious stuff.

My best laugh today reading about the nude show. Your work is spectacular and your sense of humor well intact.

While I love Ed's work, I particularly related to the before/during/after portraits.
I hope to come out the other side as gracefully...

Never knowing what to expect when you post one of your truly diverse and completely unexpected works of fine art on the current 8 month long, image posting thread,....

I know now, by reading your life story, why
