The Avonelle Kelsey Gallery

Faa V Faa Premier Images, Am I Imaging It?

Please tell me if I am imagining this. When I look at mom’s (Avonelle Kelsey) art on FAA & Pixels it looks murky - darker and less focused. When I look at it on her FAA Premier website it is brighter and clearer.

FAA Website: https://the-kelsey-gallery.pixels.com/index.html?tab=images&page=1

FAA & Pixels ordinary

FAA: https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/the-kelsey-gallery.html

Pixels https://pixels.com/profiles/the-kelsey-gallery.html?tab=artwork

I know different people’s monitors can all look different, so I would appreciate knowing what others are seeing. I have this summer off and am building mom’s work a large online art gallery which I am linking closely to her FAA Premier pages for sales. If I need to redo all the images here, there is not time like the present... but I'd rather no.

Thanks for any input!

i don't see anything different. i'd do a calibration on your screen anyway, but i'm not seeing anything different.

Hi, Nola Lee,

I'm not seeing a difference, either. Hope you get it figured out!

That's good news. Thanks everyone. I will work on the calibration and tweek backgrounds if I can.

Mush appreciated! .

You are not imagining it,

Thumbnail image in the source of your ArtistWebsite is served from the big preview image:
https://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large-5/drizzled-avonelle-kelsey.jpg
Scaling down on page display is done by the browser, and different browsers can do this in a slightly different way.

Same thumbnail from the source of FAA/Pixels pages:
https://render.fineartamerica.com/images/images-profile-flow/350/images-medium-large-5/drizzled-avonelle-kelsey.jpg

Apart from the obvious difference in size, there is also a slight difference in color - small thumbnail is less saturated.
This may have something to do with color profiles, and the way they are handled in the upload process.
You can try re-uploading the same source file to force regeneration of thumbnails with the current process, as it most likely differs from the one used by FAA in 2012.
