Waiting for Yesterday. This transitional piece is a derivative work made from two photographs with help from Photoshop and a Wacom Cintiq touch screen monitor. Derivative work is where the past meets the future in a new art form with endless horizons. Art forms, like all else, will continue to evolve over time. I am not waiting for yesterday but am stepping into tomorrow.

Old and weather tree remains rise out of a lake in a seeming dance. Their embrace and the ripples of the water suggest movement. This photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera and a 70-200mm lens, f/4.5, at 5:01 pm. The location is Beaver Dam Lake in the city of Asheville, NC.

The most simplistic of all mediums, we have all used them at one point or another throughout our lifetimes, it gave us all the opportunity to draw self expression using colors, we colored within and out of the lines, some even chewed on them. This simple medium made of wax stimulated our minds and inspired self creativity. Green was my all time favorite color? What was your favorite color? I still have the Christmas card I made for my parents in kindergarten 61 years ago the colors were all within the lines and was inspiration throughout my adolescent and adult life as a fine artist. Eye See Colors!!!

He Went That Way. In Iceland, I was able to observe puffins, here on a sea cliff. They are extremely animated, and always communicating with one another. Here, the puffin on the left seems to be pointing with his wing as if to say, "He went that way." I really got a laugh from this! Hope you do too!

A conceptual message to the world about the world. A global warning about Global Warming. An image of the Earth from space with a clock face superimposed over it in white Roman numerals. The time is 5 minutes of 12 or the final hour. The bottom of the earth is dripping as if melting and it's the color of blood. A text message in red at the top questions, "All The Time In The World..."

An August Sunset ... photo based

A vision of gathering clouds as the sun sets in central Pennsylvania ... hints of shades of yellows and lavenders and golds and peaches and pinks vie with shades of blue as the day ends. The rich dark greens of the trees capture just the slightest tint of the light from the setting sun, outlining their shapes and mimicking the swirling clouds above.

The last day of June - we went to see the sunset - well - you can sort of see it peeping out from under the threatening storm clouds - we got a little bit of rain - but most of this passed to the north and south of us.
