Sidebar Advert Giveaway - Results

I have 6 sidebar ads to give away on my own magazine, 1stAngel Arts and Talk the Talk (3 each site)

If you win, I need a 125 x 125 image advert, and the link to where you want people to be taken when they click it

So, how to win.

Tell me a little about one piece of your work. It should describe it as if to a blind person. The same as you should for Google Do not add the image, just a link to it.

The ones that describe the image so well I know what I will see before I see it, win the advert space.

This is what you should be doing on each piece of your work anyway if you wish Google to find you so call this a first lesson in marketing.

Adverts will remain in place for one month

If you win these, please send the adverts within 48 hours. Last time I did this the winners did not bother to send ads. If that happens again I will not offer free advertising again.

A fanciful abstract tambourine with a rhymically resonating center and cheerfully weaving and waving tapering ribbons, surrounded by lyrical copper and multi-color bells.

A pretty pink flamingo with a rather coy expression in its yellow eye and partially obscured beak is the subject of this bird portrait created in soft pastel in shades and tints of pink along with sage green, blue and purple accents on a taupe colored paper.

Thank you for the opportunity and for the reminder to be more thorough in my descriptions.

"The Courage of Youth" - Facing down visitors to his field, this young cow stares intently while standing steady, his hide alight with the bright sun, reflected hues enhanced to an electric blue strikingly contrasting against shadow regions of orangey brown. This beautiful animal was found in a field north of Exeter in Devon. In this acrylic painting I've deliberately used non-realistic colours but at the same time endeavoured to keep the hues harmonious so that they are striking but not jarring. The "blue lighting" has become something of a signature in my work and can be seen in several of my animal and figure paintings. The foliage is created using gestural dry brush techniques while the cow is painted loosely but precisely giving the impression he could make his move at any time.

Thanks for the opportunity Abbie

It is Sunday afternoon and the tabby cat is taking advantage of the sunshine coming in the window to stretch out on the bed and get really comfortable. Another lazy Sunday afternoon, she is completely relaxed, with her tummy exposed, back legs tucked up and her tail resting still. Her eyes are closed and whiskers twitching. A picture of domestic contentment and laziness. Typical cat really

Thanks for the opportunity Abbie!

This is a square print close up photograph of an Eastern Cottontail rabbit on a bright sunny day. The brown furry bunny is standing off center in a field of green grass with soft touches of yellow and tan in the background. She is standing up tall on her back feet with her brown eyes staring. Her ears are straight up because she hears something in the distance. Her mouth is full of twigs and grass that she has collected to make a nest. She will stay still until she feels safe again to continue on her way.

Sunlight falling on the unadorned seat and back of an old church pew leads the eye deep into the dark recesses of this simple space. The sepia tones bring out the warmth of the rough boards and plank floor. On the right, two steps lead to a raised platform which probably served as a pulpit. The current frame building of the Primitive Baptist Church in Cades Cove, Tennessee, was built in 1887, but the church itself was established in 1827. Cades Cove is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

You look down at the steaming white cup placed before you on the crisp linen tablecloth, feel the heat on your face and smell the coffee. Soon the caffeine will race though your system and kick start your day, like a sports car revving in pole position. You daydream briefly and visualize a rev counter hidden in the cup and hear the roar of the engine in your mind. You are ready to go...

I am not going to enter this time but I would like to publicly apologize for being one of the people who was very slow about getting their ad logo in last time.

I'd also like to say that it has certainly generated traffic.

In March of 1999, a fresh red rose was presented to me and each of my siblings in honor of my mother as we were about to depart the cemetery concluding her funeral. Arriving home later that night, I absentmindedly left the rose on the back floor of my car where it lay secretly and discreetly for over a month before rediscovering it, completely dried yet still in tact. I placed the single dried rose in an empty green vase and set it upon my kitchen windowsill where it faces eastwardly greeting the sunrise of each new day.

This dried flower is not only a reminder of my mother and her beauty but also a symbol of her strength, determination and fortitude. My mother lost her struggle with cancer, but her legacy lives on for the many people that loved her and miss her still.

This version was created using additional texture layers via Photoshop. I also removed the original color and digitally painted colors back into the image for a more artistic appearance. The result is a paint effect.

Abbie,
Can you give me an idea of what might be on an advert? Is it necessary to put our link on the image advert, or will you have it accompany the image?
I prepared one for this purpose a couple of years ago, but it's long gone and I no longer have any idea what I did or included.
Thanks
Nikki
