May 29th, 2020 - New Delhi, De

MIND HOW CAN MEDITATION HELP YOU TO ACHIEVE YOUR LIFE GOALS

Your subconscious mind is a powerful place. It contributes to almost 95% of your brainpower. The remaining 5% corresponds to the physical world. The subconscious mind is always active.

Your daily functions like breathing, eating, working, or making memories, everything is handled by this part of your brain. Isn't it strange because it is said that the subconscious mind is not innovative? It can only memorize everything you have said, done, or seen.

It is said that the moment you take control of your subconscious mind, you can achieve anything in the world. The reason being, when your subconscious and conscious mind work simultaneously, you tend to believe everything is possible as you are motivated and perceive life in a different light.

Envision your success

Start visualizing your goals. It is the most important factor to start getting in touch with your subconscious mind. Everything depends on what you think, whether it is getting your dream car or...

An Interview With Lois Barber

May 28th, 2020 - Amherst, MA

 An Interview With Lois Barber

(Last modified: Wednesday, September 16, 2015)

Lois Barber has spent nearly a quarter century as the founding director of EarthAction, a global network of more than 2,000 peace and social justice organizations in some 160 countries. Now, at 69, the longtime Amherst resident says she’s begun the transition away from full-time work and toward a growing focus on another of her passions: making art.

“Birdz of a Feather,” her first series, features watercolor paintings and prints of whimsical and joyful birds that, she says, make people smile and laugh. The colorful “Birdz” appear alone, or in groups, and people often find themselves, and their friends and families in the paintings, Barber says. The prints are mounted on birch block frames that her partner, Doug, makes in his woodshop, or on laminated plaques, or they are matted and framed.

Hampshire Life: : What is your creative process like?

Lois Barber: My first “Birdz” painting came about...

Artist Lisa Tennant Receives 1st Place Award In The Watermedia Category

The 2020 35th Texas & Neighbors Regional Exhibition is an annual collaboration between the Irving Art Association and the Irving Arts Center, celebrating their 35th year. The exhibition, set to open on May 17th, 2020 at the Irving Texas Arts, was one of many art exhibitions to show entirely online. The exhibition was juried by Juror Kristin Rivas, the Director of Samuel Lynne Galleries in Dallas, Texas.

Lisa Tennant was awarded 1st Place in the Watermedia Category for her work "Cast Aside", which depicts Morgan's Camera Shop neon sign and the surrounding backdrop of Hollywood, California. Tennant's work, part of a series collection of works celebrating iconic Mid-Century Modern neon signage, was painted to show the structure as it is, celebrate it's design, and note it's slow disappearance of these vintage lighted signage relics from the landscape due to abandonment and costly maintenance.

85 works of art were chosen by Juror Kristin Rivas for the 35th Annual Texas &...

Essential Qualities That An Expert Dentist Must Possess

May 27th, 2020 - Mehrauli, Ne

Essential Qualities That An Expert Dentist Must Possess

Dentists play a major role in maintaining our oral health. According to a study conducted in 2018, over 61% of people are afraid to go to the dentist for various reasons. This is due to past experiences and hearsay of the same. Therefore, a professional dentist must possess a specialized set of skills and qualities to attract more clients and also help them to overcome their oral health issues.

What qualities should good dentists in South Delhi have?

1. Excellent manual dexterity

The mouth is a small workspace that requires careful treading around. Dentists must have steady hands and good coordination during procedures.

Manipulating tools for effective results require fully developed fine motor skills. Also, having great stamina helps when conducting long procedures. These skills are important for maintaining safety measures. One technical mistake causes damage that can sometimes be irreversible. Every dentist should have top-notch technical...

Amber Harvin, a senior majoring in fine arts, won a competition last year to create a poster commemorating Webb. "I placed a part of Dr. Webbs sleeve outside of the picture plane to make him look as if he's coming out of the picture plane," she said. "This move was to symbolize his progressiveness and to represent his lasting memory at our school."

Dave Lynch Photography Review By The Art Of VA

Dave Lynch Photography Review By The Art Of VA

Dave Lynch is a highly-accomplished photographer in Goochland County VA. Dave has an uncanny ability to select and capture historical landmarks, universities, and lovely scenes throughout our Commonwealth at precision timing and with excellent composition. This is a classic example which happens to fit the description of "The Art of VA" perfectly! He is keenly sensitive in his selection of subject matter - scenes and landmarks most people from, residents herein, or who have visited VA would recognize and appreciate. He takes his photography a step further, through special effects and enhancement - creating a mood appropriate for the subject matter. I love his style best in full color; whereby, he brings his already-amazing photography to a whole new level.
