Why Do I Paint Food?

In my Digital Art, you will find a lot of creations on food. In fact, I have entire collections or galleries devoted to cupcakes, ice cream, and Italian food (pasta, bread, soup, etc.), as well as to chocolate swirls and strawberry treats. Why do I devote so much of my time and energy to painting food?

I used to be homeless.

Twice.

To me, food is very important. People who ask "Would you rather have money or love?" are kidding themselves. It's like asking if you would rather have your right arm or your left. You need both. Personally, I've had love without money. It didn't feed my belly. Sorry to disappoint all of the spiritual gurus out there, but you can't pay the food bill with love.

You need both Love AND Money.

As for my painting food? Food is life. Food is abundance. Food is the end result of money. When I see food, I see the overflowing abundance of all life.

Do I worship the stuff? You bet I do.
