Why art truly matters

So why Are you an artist? This is a question with many answers that we all could give and many of them could it's fun, it's relaxing, it's a job, and it's my passion these are just a few of the reasons I am artist. Art is therapy for me in many ways psychological and also physical, when I do arts it takes me to read new place of peace and joy. When I photograph I am able to see the world in a new way able to get out of my own head for a while able to see the world in new ways. I have a birth defect by the name of cerebral palsy and I first found my outlet for art and 2005 my medium for this outlet is photography. In my opinion we need to provide more do chances for people with disabilities to find their outlet through art like I have. Art opens many doors and has a way of changing perceptions and it is my hope that I can provide hope to others. The first thing you will learn when you do art is you find out things about yourself that you never knew. You will be able to go deep within and truly get to know who you are through art. And if one form of art doesn't work for you there are countless other forms that you can try. My piece of advice is to try all forms of it.There are many different devices that could help people with disabilities in doing activities within the art practice from assisted technology to adapted paintbrushes and computers that people can use to design a a great deal of things. I would challenge any professional artist to take someone under your wing and teach them your knowledge if we all did this that would be in the way the world could become better. Let's all do our part to grow the art community.
