Sometimes, no matter how well you prepare, a fluid art painting just doesn't look as good as you planned it and it is in these circumstances that you can become a little imaginitive and create something entirely unexpected.

In the case of the attached painting 'Veil of the Deep', I really didn't like the background, which was just an acrylic fluid art pour, but I could just imagine a deep sea creature in a cave. So I let the painting dry and added some fine art detail in the form of a jelly fish. The final painting works very well, so I would highly recommend not discarding your disappointing fluid art pours....you could end up with a surprising result.

That is great advice. It does work very well and is a refreshing change from the same ocean blue we see in so many sea paintings. It makes it very moody and interesting.
