Novels - The Art of Words

While I do create some new image art now and then my primary focus of late is in writing novels.

Three 5-Star Reviewed books are available on BarnesandNoble.com in Hardback, paperback, and Nook eBook.

Amazon carries paperback and Kindle eBook of all three.

The titles are:

The Announcement - Jim D Buchanan writes a story that reflects the deepest concerns of those who care. The story starts with a very hopeless situation. '"It wasn't something as simple as a crime having been committed and the scientists ratting out the men who perpetrated it. It wasn't someone saying, "If you don't take this action now, the effects will be this or that." This was someone saying, "It's too late."' The reader's attention is gripped by the urgency of the crisis and they are keen to discover what could happen next. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that the reader can feel part of themselves in the narrative, find questions they have pondered on. The characters are real, and, like most of us, they reflect a real crisis when there is nothing left to do to fix it. The writing in The Announcement is infused with realism and humanity and the narrative features characters who will remind readers of what they should become before it's too late. It's a story that entertains and warns readers at the same time, one that invites readers to become the caretakers of the world they inherited.

Life Only Different: is a philosophically minded work of literary fiction penned by author Jim D Buchanan. Written as an alternative exploration of the romance novel, this well considered piece engages readers directly with the sensation, sensuality and significance of the beautiful world around them whilst also telling the standard tale of the human experience. As the players of the book take their places to tell their story, they become only one component of the overall experience, as the author allows the sensory qualities of their world to come to the fore for readers to experience and immerse themselves in totally.

Handwritten Tales, What Is Taboo: Jim D Buchanan is a collection of some short and some not so short tales that seek to explore the areas of life that we tend to ignore and pretend don't exist – that we'd rather not talk about ... Jim D Buchanan really does break through the periphery to deeply dissect the human condition and expose it for us all to see. ... I can highly recommend this read.
