Some people view life as a game. Others take it as it comes.


My photojournalism mentor, John H. White, used to say


"Preparation is the key to opportunity".


The activity that a basketball team does before a game either gets them ready for opportunity or creates it.


So, what activity are you doing ... for your goals?


Be a student of the Game.


Good students make better athletes.


It is said that children learn more from our actions than from our words.


This includes how we play the game ... and apply it to life.


The way we treat others.


The way we respond ... or react.


And how we develop relationships because of 'the game'.


Lead. Mentor. Example. Illustrate.


If you were in Catholic grade school, like I was, you might remember what the Nuns used to say ...

... God gave you two ears and one mouth ...


... Listen.
