Creative Digital Photography

To create stunning digital images, shoot in camera RAW. This allows the abilty to edit without a loss of detail, in the final images. I always open the camera RAW file in Adobe Photoshop CC 2019. The App has algorithms for every type of camera / lens combination, correcting for distortion and chromatic aberrations. Also, opening the RAW image gives an automatic correction for brightness, contrast and other parameters.

Depending upon whether a standard image or HDR is required. Skylum Luminar 2019 (Standard) or Skylum Aurora HDR 2019 (HDR) are used to process the final image. The attached image was processed with Photoshop, Luminar to produce the sky and Aurora HDR to create the final image.

The image was shot with a D850 Camera and Nikkor AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Lens. Also, a B+W graduated grey glass filter was used, which is always left in place for landscapes.
